What's New in QuartzClock

2.6.2

September 6, 2016

This update from Apple will improve the functionality of this app. No new features are included. We've squished a subtle, sneaky bug. New users were unable to set an alarm, because of some permission settings in iOS 8 and newer systems. But thanks to a bug report from a user, we discovered and fixed the problem. We have also taken the chance to tidy up the typography and do a few other tweaks under the hood. The first time an alarm is set now, on new systems, QuartzClock will ask for permission to give an alarm, and remember that permission after that. You can change permission in the usual list of notifications permissions in the system settings, after that. Part of the fixes for IOS 8 and 9 mean the new version of QuartzClock no longer supports iOS 6 and earlier, but the previous version will still be available to older devices back to iOS 4.3.

Extends Functionality

Many options for display and function making the iPhone or iPad do the work of yet another device.

Download it. Itโ€™s good!

It has an uncluttered full screen display. Options include LED or LCD mode and colour/background options and more. It does everything a bedside clock should.

Orientation

For literally years Iโ€™ve been able to use this clock in the horizontal position at night. After the last update, it changed the orientation and I can no longer change it.

Recommend it !

The QuartzClock has a large numbers. Easy to understand and see at the day as well as night. Simple operations. Very helpful ! I recommend it to anyone. Thanks to Mr. Sutherland !

Will you update to iOS 14.2!

I love having a clock that stays on with out going to sleep. I recently updated to iOS 14.2 and itโ€™s no longer working. :(
