Queen elizabeth the second

Excellent tribute to our late queen. It’s easy to read, not dependent on an internet connection and works well with voiceover which is good for me as i am blind. With regards to the price section i was most interested to learn that the cost of a black white tv licence in 1952 was £2 a year and the prescription charge back then was a shilling. I was mildly disappointed not to see the price of a first class stamp or the average price of a pint of beer and a packet of cigarettes. There should maybe a brief note about pre decimal money for those not familiar with shillings at the beginning of that section. I am familiar with how that worked but am thinking of younger folks. Haven’t seen anything about the platinum jubilee but haven’t read it all yet. Look forward to any future information that may be added in the future. Great value for money this app. I am over the moon with this tribute and am glad to give it 5 stars. Thank you for writing the app and making my day. Kind regards, rich leigh.

Hi Rich - thanks for that great review. I am pleased that it works well with VoiceOver. I wonder if there are any parts of the app where VoiceOver could be improved? If so, please contact me on appdevnh@gmail.com and I will make the necessary changes. Thanks also for your suggestions on improvements to the app. I have made a note of them.

Detailed!

This is a fun app for certified anglophiles. Everything you wanted to know about the reign of England’s longest reigning monarch.

Glad you are enjoying it 😀

Excellent App!

Great App with excellent info, not just on the Queen but on British Royal & social history in general. Well worth 99p.

Awful - don't buy it

Basically just Wikipedia don't be fooled by the official logo

Hi, it is not actually just wikipedia. Many of the links point to wikipedia for more information, but the information within the app has been researched from a variety of sources - and NOT wikipedia.
