UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW
Apparently the update loaded and fixed the inability to sound the alarm on my Xs Max. Now the only issue is that the mute switch kills it. When I go to sleep I’m not always of the right sound of mind to remember to turn that darn thing on. Otherwise I really do like the non-ad version of this clock.

I really loved the look of this app, and used it every night as my bedside clock because it was so attractively designed.
Please, please consider bringing back the former design from before the last update!!
(***Bold lines for each hour, lines instead of dots for minutes, red second hand, date shown; AND I believe in an even older version, the lines also stretched all the way to the edge of the screen, instead of being shaped in any type of circle at all, making it more of a beautiful, designer-looking analogue timepiece.)
I would pay for it in the old format.

Don’t rely on it
It’s a beautiful analog clock face and a really nice concept. However, as others have noted, alarm will not sound if you have muted your phone. This has happened to me a few times. I’ve fallen asleep with my phone’s volume set to 0, or the mute button engaged; in the morning, no alarm. The app could warn you, even if it can’t -like other good clock apps- override the volume setting.
Personally I think it’s worse than this. The app also puts a “wake up” notification on the lock screen. Sometimes I don’t even get that, so I’m wondering if it’s not always the volume thing. I’m starting to suspect that this app just fails randomly.
It’s a beautiful clock, just don’t rely on the alarm.

Reduced clock face number size
I’ve used this app for more than a year now and have loved it...until the last update when the clock face was updated. What I loved about it was the large clock numbers that I could read without my glasses in the middle of the night.
The latest update has shrunk them considerably, with no option to control how I view it.
Update: The clock face has been reverted back to the black-and-white with larger numerals, which I love! Thank you for making this update and I’ve updated my review accordingly.

Used to love the app
This app was great,it’s the only clock that is truly black , not dark grey when in at my bedside. Unfortunately the new changes make both the minuet hand and second hand, very close in size but worse yet, with the clock dimmed, it’s difficult to see the new green hand. I wish there were an option to change the color back to white

It is suppose to show time. Unreadable!
It stretches over whole screen making clock face unrecognizable. There’s plenty of empty space for numbers, but only 4 are displayed. If you wake at midnight, 3, or 6:00 this is for you. Otherwise you are left to guess. Where you might set an alarm is anybody’s guess.
Alarm does not work when the mute button is on
I always leave my mute button on and have done since I have owned an iPhone. This app will not sound an alarm when it is set to mute. I tested it and while the alarm was supposed to be sounding I turned the mute button off and there it was, an alarm. As it was previously noted by another, the app has very good visuals and is very easy to adjust the brightness with just a swipe of the finger. To me it is useless without the alarm, especially when there are so many others out there that do not have this issue. If fixed then I'm sure I'll use it frequently but till or if it is, sorry.

Oops- NO SOUND WHEN MUTE BUTTON IS ON!
Developer response appears to indicate they've fixed it in the latest version? All my notifications have been on for this app and others also report this issue. IPhone 6s for me with latest iOS.
Found out the hard way that when the mute button is accidentally (or intentionally) on, you won't get your wake-up alarm! Since I may not want to hear my phone ringer but I want to hear an alarm if I set it- this is a MAJOR flaw with an Alarm app!!
A couple generous stars for the graphics, but since I expect to be sleeping and hence not looking at the screen, this is gilding the lily.
Developer: fix the mute button issue and put the "On/Off" slider and time set on the MAIN SCRREN too, then you've got a winner. Bonus points for adding "one time" "'x' times" and "weekdays" alarm"

I like clocks, this one looks the best for me.
Not bad not great
Its a basic clock. Choose to white or black. It has an alarm but you cant hear what the alarm sounds like before using it you need to set an alarm and have it go off to tell if you like that alarm.
Unfortunate
This is a beautiful clock app and I would gladly use it as my only nightstand clock with its looks and great dimming feature. The developer has gone over and beyond to help me resolve issues with the alarm feature. Unfortunately, to use the alarm feature, you must leave the volume up all night. My iPad sounds off all night when volume is up. If you can program it to turn the sound on to alarm, it would be perfect. My integrated iPhone alarm will turn my phone on and turn on the volume then sound off. I will still use this for a clock but the alarm is Unfortunate.

A very nice clock app
The face is well designed, easy to read and looks good in portrait or landscape. It's easy to adjust the brightness by sliding your finger up and down the screen. There is a nice selection of alarm sounds.
Simple, clean...but WAY to bright!
In my original review I stated that if the dimming issue could be solved, I would change my review to 5-stars. There wasn't really anything to solve, there simply needed to be clarification. It states in the description that the clock face is dimmable, yet if failed to clarify that in order to do so, you need to swipe vertically. Now that I know how to dim the face, I gladly change my rating to 5-stars!

Battery waster
iPad was at 100% battery when I set the alarm for the first time. When I woke up, battery was at 8%. The app doesn't work in the background...it uses the battery the whole time.
Nice and simple
Alarm sounds are great love, sirtaki, merry Christmas and good morning ones. If there's one complaint I have is that it only supports 1 alarm, please allow me to make/set more alarms. Also is this app iPhone 6 friendly for resolution can't quite tell..
Shortcoming
I very much like and enjoy the look of the clock ...BUT!!!!...
The alarm will not sound if your phone is in Vibrate. This is a major shortcoming. Other clock alarms do work in vibrate mode so there is no technical reason this cannot be fixed.

Very good clock app. Only thing I would change is putting my own music as alarm.
