Great, well designed app. Top notch actually

Been looking for an app for Mac that sits in the menu bar. I went through literally dozens of apps for a place to take quick and good notes. None seemed to fit. They were too much or not enough. Many if not most just didn’t look good and were no fun to use. This one has stuck. Really well designed and useful. So much better than other quick note takers and by far the best sticky app. The notes don’t get in the way and the designer really included all the right design and utility functions. WELL DONE!

Integrates Really Well and Has Significantly Helped My Work Flow

This app has really helped me during my readings for school. I tried the original Mac/Apple sticky notes app, but didn't really like how the note couldn't stay above the current application I was reading on (for reference, I use Zotero for my class readings).

This app was a lifesaver among the various options and I was able to use it how I imagined in my head. I usually list out key ideas for what I should annotate/look out for during a reading on a note, and this app has significantly helped with my work flow during those sessions.

I highly recommend this app for anyone who has dense readings to get through, and doesn't really want to break their immersion in having to swipe back to a different application window to see what key points they should take note of during or make small notes about a reading.

The Best I’ve Found

This one just ticks off all the items on my checklist. It sits quietly in the menubar until needed. Individual notes can be pinned to the desktop if desired. Nice formatting options within the notes. I tried a bunch of these including some better known apps that I think we way over-hyped. This one is definitely worth a look. I use it almost daily. Whether you want to maintain a list of movies to watch or a simple reminder/to do list. Or, just a scratchpad - a quick place to jot down something that you’ll need a little later. Color coding is a real winner with the list pastel options. I use it as a scratch pad to help me remember keyboard shortcuts that I don’t often use. It’s by far, the best for me at least. I rely on that iCloud Sync feature too. Definitely Go Pro for a few bucks.

Love the APP for Task Management

I have used other sticky note-apps for keeping track of task like side notes, but I easily forget about them later on. What sets this app apart is the sticky notes can be moved and are always present. Only time they disappsidenotesen I fullscreen an app. Folders are hidden in the menu bar item, which is nice. I like how minimal the themes are. After having tried both I prefer quick for tasks that need to be done today and sidenotes for tasks I want to do sometime later.

I can’t wait for image support to be added.

Good App, but Not Actually Free

While I like this application, I feel mislead by the AppStore page. No where in the store page does it mention that free users are only able to use it for a set period of time before either paying or losing access. I have no issues with a developer charging for their work, but I only found out that I would lose access to this when my notes were being covered by a pop up saying my trial will expire soon.

I would have happily paid for this up front, or paid for it now if I had known that I would need to from the beginning. However it being snuck in without mention despite this being advertised as a free application in the App Store just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

Dear User. Sincere apologies for the inconvenience. What you are saying is absolutely right. To fix this, I will add this information while we onboard the users on the first launch of the app. Also, you still have full viewing and editing permission even after the trial ends.

Cannot recommend this app enough!

UDPATE: I meant to update this a million years ago but the app store was being annoying and not letting me, but I digress. I contacted the developer about the issue not expecting a response at all. They responded and let me know when the title issue I had mentioned previously was fixed. So on top of the app being my most used, the developer s very attentive and nice! Shell out the reasonable price for this app if you are a constant note taker like myself!

I love this app and use it daily.

A bit of feedback about the 5.0.3 update and a humble request: In previous versions the popup tab list accessed via the menubar used to display the whole title of notes and adjusted the width accordingly. Now the width is fixed, and it cuts off the title of my notes in a weird way. The way it displays now makes it difficult for me to navigate my notes in an efficient way, and it also looks quite weird. Otherwise quick note was a 5 star app before this. I've been using quick note since 2022 so the update makes it a little disorientating in that regard.

Hey. Thanks for updating your rating. Can you please share me the screenshots of the issue on the same email for me to have a look? It is difficult to communicate here..

Great looking app

Works as advertised. Very helpful to have at my fingertips. I do have a couple suggestions for feature improvements. In line with the MacOS, it would be great to be able to collapse a note by merely double-clicking on the header. Also, after having a few notes on screen — and having to move them periodically around so I can access parts of the screen they cover — it’d be nice to have the ability to one-click a collapse and stack of all open notes.

Like it but can be improvements

I like it so far, it stays on top like an actual sticky note would, Has text formatting, and an option for transparent background. I would like to see some improvements in future updates. The option to download on iPhone so I can review notes when away from my desktop even having it on iPad would be helpful. There’s a small thing where if you are doing a numbered list the numbers don’t start anew if you change levels, just continue. Also would be good to change the level of transparency instead of just all or nothing. But so far I like it a lot better than the others I have tried, mostly due to its text formatting features. Helps to organize

So Far the best Organizing apps I have found!

I am a very busy student, who was always trying to find a app to keep me oragnized. Though all of the other ones with the calendar and extra features made me stressed. When I came along Quick Note and decided to give it a try, it was the best thing ever! It's simple and gets the job done, every one has their own way of staying organized, though you should give Quick Note a try, maybe it will work for you!

Better than Stickies, Notes or TextEdit

I needed a quick way to pull up a stickies type note with a keyboard shortcut from anywhere, and had been using TextEdit for quickly taking notes.

This is way better! Well thought out design, just enough features to be extremely useful without cluttering the UI with unecessary things.

You get Stickies style notes that can be pinned and unpinned to float above windows at will, a Notes style basic UI for managing saved notes and putting them in folders, and a fast way to start a new note from the menubar or a shortcut, with iCloud syncing.

My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a way to create a folder from the "Show all Notes" window. Right now you need to create a folder from a note that's open in its own window, but it'd be nice to be able to create folders from the management window as well.

UPDATE: I saw your response that iCloud syn has been added for pro user. I've been a pro user for years. I can't find anywhere to setup sync to iCloud. I went to your website for support but there is no contact form. Just your Twitter account. One link to your Twitter account does not work. I tried to send you a DM but the despicable Elon Musk does not allow DM's unless you pay for Twitterl. And, I will not give a penny to Elon Musk and how he treats people. Not sure how to get support.?

Been using for two years now. I'm moving over to a new machine. Only problem that I'm having now is no way to export the notes. I can't save them to iCloud either. I have about a dozen notes. And hundres of notes in trash. I have them in trash but I don't emepty the trash. Just in case I have to go back to them. I have no way to back them up. I looked for a SQLite DB in the app package, thinking I could export that way, but could not find a SQLite db.

Hi. The iCloud support has been added for the PRO users long back. Please check your app settings to enable iCloud sync. Please reach out to mail mentioned in help section of the app. I will share the mail here as well. Its k.suryawanshi@gmail.com

Great Note Taking App

I needed a note app to help me organize my thoughts on various work projects as well as keep track of to do lists and things like that. This app works really well on that front! The design of the notes is nice and simple. I like that you can choose to have your notes remain on top of all the other open apps/windows with the push of a button. I appreciated the trail but quickly payed for the full thing after trying it out for a bit.

If I could add one thing, I do wish that there was an option to have new notes be created in a cyclical color pattern like ROYGBIV. Right now you can only choose to have them start as a single color choice for all of them or random. Of course it's only a few button presses to change this, however as most of my notes are for different work projects it would be nice to ensure they are always coming out a different color than the last one for orginizational purposes.

All in all I am very happy with this app and highly recommend it.

Wow. Thanks for taking time to write such a lovely review!! Also, regarding your suggestion, I think I will update "random" selection in such a way that every new color is picked up in a cyclical pattern as you suggested.

It's is great but wish it had one thing

So I download this app because I really needed a always on top notes and I use a lot of screens so space was not an issue. I ran into the 3 post-it note limits with in minutes. But over all I liked the app so I paid for the full version 9 bucks is a very fair price. The one thing I wish it had and would make it more then 5 stars is a timer or an alarm. It would be gret if you could have a timer or an alarm and the note would shake on screen at said time. This would make this app amazing. But even with out it, it is still a great app and completely worth it.

works well but some issues after update

like the app and its ease of use but as of about a month ago, it no longer launches upon login even though it is checked and if I click on a sticky to type in it, it disappears and goes away. the only way to get it to stay is if I click the app in the menu bar which can be cumbersome when I can see it sitting right on my desktop. the manage notes feature also doesn't actually update the note if you add or take away which is annoying. hopefully this is fixed soon

Hi. Thanks for writing your feedback. Regarding your issues, can you please share them over email so I can understand them better. In the email please share screenshots and screen recording of the issue. My email is k.suryawanshi@gmail.com

Good for the most part

I like this better than other sticky note apps Ive tried. There is a slight bug where when I try to title the green note, it keeps trying to type on other sticky notes. I didnt have this issue with titling the other stickies. Also, I would like the ability to extend/minimize the note windows by keyboard shortcut. It should extend up if it is placed on the bottom of the screen. As well as a shortcut to bring notes in front of or behind the windows. But only affects notes that are not already set to stay on top. And I think there should be a customization option where the notes can auto size themselves to fit around the text while still showing the full note. Will continue to use.

its perfect

I have a macbook air and it already came with its own note pad or memo pad sticke but its not good, you cannot change color, font or size and it is very difficult to work with. i love this i purchase the pro its only 7.99 but like its unlimited i can decorate to my liking and its literally perfect. everything is adjustable and althogh there are limited colors its still perfect. though there are only blue, yellow, green, red, and system. by changing the setting system same color but different shade. its perfect. thank you

A couple things would made it much better...

I have been using it for a while now, everything has been great, I love the transparency and customizable size of the sticky notes. There are two things that can be changed I think it will make the app a lot better and useful.

First is the color. I wish there are more option of colors or customization, people can choose the one they like from any color that is possible, that would be more fun to use that way.

Second one is the check box. I am that kind of person who like to list out things with check box in front of it and then check it when I am done with it. If that can be added then the app is definitely a five star app! Thank you

Almost what I'm looking for

I was hoping to find a great stickies apps for reminders on my desktop. This app provides the features I want like easy accessibility, ability to type my list, and the ability to pin on my desktop. It seems like a little thing, but I HATE the colors. How do I get the bright colors that are pictured in the preview? I would like bright colors similar to what actual sticky notes would be.
I also think enabling checkboxes and providing different size stickies would improve this app. I purchased the pro version hoping I would have more access to the colors, but I see that it only gives me unlimited stickies.

Perfect for ADHD

As someone with ADHD I struggle to remember everything that needs done between one tab and another. I used to spend the majority of my time flipping back and forth between tabs just remembering what I was doing. Thanks to this app its no longer a problem for me. There is transparency in the notes feature that allows me to see through the note when needed so I can almost always leave the document pinned on top of my web browser. If I could give this a million stars I would.

Good GTD Inbox

Back in the Palm days (yes I am THAT old!) there was a great little app that you could just open and wrtie whatever. Then, when you had time, you could highlight parts and with a tap send to tasks, valendar or ship off as a note via email or as a text. This app is not as complete but the closest I have been able to find. I keep a small window (each with different color) for work, Personal projects, and a daily task list. I typically put everything I think of in the daily task list unless it is work - related, then stick into the work window. When I have a chance, I can quickly review and either complete or stick in the appropriate calendar/reminder whatever app for completing later. There have been a couple of glitches (ghost images remain of text after I delete something - goes away when I close and re-open window, transperency not working as desired sometimes) but I have found it very useful as a GTD inbox. Just wish I could process text within the app.
