Quiet Minesweeper is the game of mines and numbers, set on a calm field that reads like a printed map. Reveal every square that is not a mine. Each number tells you how many of the squares touching it hide a mine, and a square with none opens the area around it on its own. Flag the squares you are sure of, then tap a number whose flags already match it to clear the squares around it.
The first square you open is always safe and always opens an area. With No guessing on, as it is from the start, every board can be cleared by logic alone from that first opening, so a game never comes down to a coin flip.
When you are stuck, Hint shows the next sure move and says why in one plain sentence. Press Hint again and it makes the move for you. If one of your flags is on a safe square, the hint points to it first. Hints are unlimited, and so is Undo, which also takes back a mine you hit.
The app opens straight into the game you left, and every move is saved as you make it. Squares open in a soft ripple from your tap, and a cleared field ends with a quiet wash across it. Pinch to zoom in on a large field and drag to move around it; a drag never opens a square. Designed for iPhone and iPad.
