About
Quiet Movement lies face-up in a working room, such as a studio, a workshop, a classroom or a shared office, and keeps an ear on how loud the room is. When the room gets loud and stays loud for a moment, it answers with something calm instead of an alarm: a breathing cycle paced 4 · 6 · 8, or a short full stop with a quiet tick-tock under it.
One screen, made to be read from across the room:
• Press Start and put the phone down. You can see at a glance whether it is listening or answering.
• Set how sensitive each level is on a ten-step scale, tuned by ear, and the loudness range it listens across.
• Levels are ordered: when the room crosses a line, the app weighs the noise for a moment, and the loudest level the room actually reached is the one that answers.
• Choose how many breathing cycles to run, how long the full stop lasts, and how long it weighs the noise before answering.
• Its sounds ease in and out gently, never abruptly.
It never records. The microphone is used only to measure how loud the room is, on your phone, while a session runs. No sound is recorded, kept, transcribed or sent anywhere. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The app collects nothing at all.
