WHAT IT CAN'T DO (we'd rather tell you up front) QuietCheck is a proximity tool: it only ever detects what's physically near your phone, right now. It can't look up, locate, or monitor a device or a person anywhere else. Background detection is best-effort — iOS limits how much an app can scan once it's in the background — so a quiet moment doesn't guarantee nothing's there. The hidden-camera check is a heuristic aid, not a guarantee. It's here to help you notice things, not to replace your own judgment. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Almost everything happens entirely on your iPhone, with no account and no tracking. No analytics SDK, no ad SDK. A few optional features can sync a signature database, submit anonymous feedback, or contribute to a community sighting map — each one is spelled out plainly, and each is off or on-device unless you choose otherwise.
