Gets the job done, but could be improved

Overall this app lets me do what I need. Which is create a design totally from scratch using my fabric swatch images and then provide block cnt and yardage at the end. It’s just a bit clunky in its execution.

Updates I would love to see -

Minor items:

- Allow renaming of saved quilt patterns. Currently if I want to rename something I have to save it again with the new name and then manually delete the old version.

- Allow renaming/editing of existing color selections. Currently I have to delete and start over if I mess that up.

Major items:

- I honestly think this is a glitch, but the custom pattern section will not let me select additional pictures from my existing photo library. It did it once, but won’t allow me to add more now, so I’m just stuck with only the images I selected that first time. This means I have to use the camera function there for any new patterns which is frustrating if I don’t have the swatch or pattern set on hand to photograph again.

- Allow uploaded images to be used when setting a color scheme for the block templates. Currently I can only create a RGB/HSB based color scheme for use with the template blocks. The upload functionality already exists in the custom pattern section, so why can’t I set an uploaded image as a color in the color scheme section for template blocks? This would allow me to create designs using template blocks that are actually colored as my existing fabric swatches.

So happy I found this app!

I love this app! As a new quilter, this app is amazing. I am able to design and visualize the quilts I plan to create. I hope to see a few features in the future (maybe I just haven’t found them yet): adding custom fabrics, printing patterns and a little bit better fabric estimator.

Not all that

This one got good reviews, it is not so simple to plan with. Does not do everything I need for star quilts.

Unhappy

Want my money back.

Won’t work

I downloaded this quilting App in the hopes that I could design some simple quilts.I am using an iPad air with ios 14… Followed the instructions, And cannot even get a block to appear… Tells me it’s saved it to camera roll… And there is no block. No instructions on how to import your own blocks, and you’re limited to only the blocks that are already in the software.I really wanted this program to work, but as far as I can see it’s a complete waste of time and effort

Time consuming

I wanted to love this, but it’s not user friendly! Even offering some preset colours, or the ability to change colours (rather than delete and restart) would speed up the process. It takes hours to get a whole quilt plan in. I’ve tried many times over the few years I’ve had this, but I always end up with graph paper and pencil crayons! Waste of money!

Quilter

Great app I’m having a lot of fun designing my quilts.

Very easy to use

I purchased this app just a couple of hours ago and I’m up and running! I had created a few quilt blocks and just couldn’t picture the finished quilt. I found this app and after watching the detailed tutorial, I was able to view and manipulate various versions of my quilt. The app is very intuitive and easy to use. As a beginning quilter, I really appreciate this app!

Great response time from the creator

I am super happy about this App! I look forward to mastering it and purchasing Quiltler 2 very soon.
Thanks from all of us artists who prefer to create our own patterns !!!!

Doesn’t work

This app doesn’t do anything on my ipad

Figuring it out

Purchased the combo app with Quiltler & Quiltler2. They are fairly different. Haven’t spent a great deal of time working with either one (life has taken over some of my sewing time), but while working through them, I have emailed back & forth with Chris, & he is very responsive & helpful! These apps are definitely works in progress, but I feel like he is working to improve them daily. I think the bundle price is fair! Can’t wait for the next update!

Where are the traditional shapes

I’m unclear why there are so many unconventional shapes for quilting. Would it be possible to ad rectangles for log cabin designs? Or Dresden blades or hexagon or squares? Have I missed those shapes in the list? Animal shapes are cute but I find it hard to use for a block.

Difficult

Very disappointed. Instructions and video are not helpful! What a waste.

Awful

I got this app to casually make quilt patterns when i’m away from my computer. Once you start making one, you can’t go back and add blocks or colors in your editing process. You’re also limited to the few blocks that are in the app to make anything. Not a fan.

Worthless

Try to use this went to tutorial and it’s hard to read. Waste of time

keep up the good work

I'm realy excited for 2.0! thanks for telling us about it! I will buy it right when it is realeased if it looks good

saves all my quiltssaves all my quilts

I love this app and that I can save and reedit all my quilts

runs really smoothly

I generated a quilt at size 50x50 and it was reaaaalllly slow. But that is bigger than I would ever do - for everything smaller then 30x30 it works fast and doesnt make my phine feel like an inferno

I feel like I just wasted $5.00

I cannot believe this, the tutorial on YouTube I watched several times. Who ever is speaking needs slow down. I am not new to quilting and was really hoping this app would help me design a quilt I have but would like to make another with more blocks, and move on to other ideas I have in my head. I’m going to see what I can figure something out over the next few days. I really hope that I didn’t waste my money on something that seemed to good to be real.
