About

QuitsUp makes splitting money with friends and family simple, clear and fair. It works offline, keeps your data on your iPhone, and needs no account. TRY THE EXAMPLE Open the built-in example trip and try everything: add expenses, settle up, record payments. Nothing is saved, and you can reset it any time. QUICK SPLIT Split a single bill on the spot. Choose who was there and split equally, by exact amounts, by percentage, or by weighted shares. QuitsUp shows each person's share to the cent. JUST TYPE IT Type an expense the way you'd write it down, like "Dinner 120 Thet Lyar", and QuitsUp fills in the title, amount and payer. You confirm before anything is saved. On supported iPhones, suggestions run on your device. GROUPS FOR TRIPS AND HOUSEHOLDS Create a Group for a trip, a house or an outing. Add people and families, record who paid for what, and keep every expense in one place. Split an expense by people or by family, and cover someone's share when needed. MULTI-CURRENCY Record each expense in the currency you paid in. QuitsUp keeps the original amount and currency, and shows the conversion it used, so nothing is hidden. RECEIPTS Keep receipt photos with your expenses, and in a shared Group everyone sees them. Scan a receipt to suggest the total, read on your iPhone and never uploaded. REVIEW BEFORE YOU SETTLE Expenses that need attention (a missing payer, an unclear split or a conversion to check) are gathered in Review so you can fix them before settling. SETTLEMENT WITH EXPLANATIONS QuitsUp works out a short list of payments to settle the Group. Tap any payment to see how it's worked out, expense by expense. Families settle as one. Share a payment with the person who owes it, send a friendly reminder, mark payments as paid as they happen, and record money returned if someone paid too much. SPENDING AND STATEMENTS See a Group's spending by category and by person. Export a PDF or CSV statement that matches Settle exactly, or a bundle of all receipts. MEMBER LOANS Record money lent between members of a Group, and repayments, alongside the shared expenses, and see open loans across all your Groups. IMPORT Kept expenses in Apple Notes? Share a note to QuitsUp and review each suggested expense before anything is added. You can also import a CSV file, including a Splitwise export, into a new Group. SHARED GROUPS WITH iCLOUD Share a Group with the people in it, from Contacts, or with a one-time link or QR code (iOS 26 or later) that lets one person join as a Viewer. Everyone you invite sees the Group, and editors can add and change expenses. You can be notified when someone else makes a change. The Group is stored in your own iCloud through Apple CloudKit. Stop sharing or delete a Group at any time. WIDGETS, SIRI AND MORE Home Screen widgets show your balance and open Quick Split. Add expenses with Siri and Shortcuts. Choose an app icon. Safety copies let you restore your data on this iPhone. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no tracking, no analytics, no ads. Location is optional and off until you turn it on.

What's New in QuitsUp

1.2.1

October 27, 2026

Invite with a link: don't know someone's Apple Account? Create an invite link in Share Group, then show its QR code or copy the link. Each link is for one person, joins them as a Viewer and works for 10 minutes; create a new link for each person. You're told when someone joins. Needs iOS 26 or later on both iPhones. Activity history: Recent activity now shows what happened in the Group, newest first: who added, changed, voided or restored an expense, loans and repayments, payments marked paid, and settlement changes. A voided expense keeps its history. Notifications about a change use the same words. Cover photo and colour: give a Group its own cover photo and card colour in Group setup. Everyone in a shared Group sees them. Send in QuitsUp: remind someone about a payment right inside QuitsUp, without leaving the app, when everyone in the Group has this version. Payment notes: add a note to a recorded payment. It shows in the payment's details and in your statements. Delete voided expenses in shared Groups: the Group owner, or the person who added it, can delete a voided expense permanently once everyone in the Group has this version. Clearer payments: settlement now reads "A to pay B". Transfer and household payments share one simpler layout with Mark Paid, and you can edit an expense straight from a payment. Easier Groups: New Group uses the same sheet as Group setup. Home can show cards with or without artwork, and each card shows whether it is shared or on this iPhone only. Activity shows your Group's spending. Money has a single + menu for loans and repayments. Smarter entry: receipt scans suggest a title, nine new categories (including Bills & Utilities, Rent & Home, Flights, Health and Kids), and helpful tips as you go. Show Tips Again in Settings brings them back. Import and export: Import from Notes is now on Home's menu next to Import from CSV. QuitsUp CSV files use readable headers and re-import complete, with splits, shares, families and covers. Safety copies: after turning off Sync my devices, you can restore a safety copy. Fixed: opening a notification could close QuitsUp. Fixed: QuitsUp could freeze on an iPhone after the Group owner removed that person from a shared Group. Plus a new example trip and small fixes.
