About

QuorumPony splits a secret into a set of cards. Any few of them rebuild it. One card on its own reveals nothing. It is built for the things you cannot afford to lose and should not keep in a single place: a crypto seed phrase, a private key, a password manager recovery code, the master key behind your other backups. HOW IT WORKS You choose how many cards to make and how many it takes to recover. A common setup is 3 of 5. Print five cards, and any three of them bring the secret back. Lose one or two and you are still safe. Anyone who finds a single card learns nothing at all. This is real Shamir Secret Sharing, the same approach used to protect root keys at certificate authorities and in bank key ceremonies, running entirely on your device and offline. WHAT YOU CAN DO - Split text or a key file into cards - Recover by scanning each card's QR code or typing its printed code - Check a card to confirm it is intact and which backup it belongs to, without rebuilding the secret - Export all your cards as a printable PDF - Name a backup so you know what it protects. The name is printed on the card and is never mixed into the secret. PAPER, NOT THE CLOUD Your cards live on paper. Print them, store them in separate places, or hand them to people you trust. There is no account, no sync, and no server. QuorumPony keeps no copy of your secret. PRIVATE BY DESIGN QuorumPony collects nothing and sends nothing anywhere. Everything happens on your device. Face ID or Touch ID can lock the app, and copied secrets clear from the clipboard automatically. OPEN SOURCE CRYPTO The cryptographic core is open source under the Apache 2.0 license, so anyone can read, build, and verify the exact code that protects your keys. The security is something you can check, not just trust. SIX LANGUAGES English, Spanish, German, French, Japanese, and Portuguese (Brazil), switchable any time inside the app. No ads. No in-app purchases. No tracking.
