Works!
One thing that’s killing me though is I can set a Wholetone scale or Locrian but not just a Pentatonic (or even better a 6 note scale like Dm with no 6th, C major with no 7th) which is literally 100million times more useful in almost all western music. If I find a Harmoniser with custom scales or where I can map individual response for each note I play I’ll have to swap to it but would love to stick with this.
No Chromatic Pitch Shift
Pitch shift quality not great
Nice, but limited use
Nice pitch shifter
One of the best effects out there!

Hey, thanks for the kind review! QVox does add some latency, but it's reported to the host (Cubasis), which should handle latency compensation. This would be something Steinberg would need to fix on their end, if they are not handling it correctly.
Lacks manual features!
1: Diatonic chromatic scale mode!: If you want to set specific intervals and want them to remain CONSTANT Chromatically you CAN’T do that here, say you want a 4th and a 6th above your original note and keep the same intervals chromatically, the scale you choose will keep changing the intervals... This could be resolved if this app had an option to chose “cents” for pitch shift instead of just “musical intervals”, that way I could choose to have the same exact intervals regardless of the note... A classic example for this would be trying to replicate Steve Vai’s “Ballerina 12/24”, that patch is a simple 4th and 6th above with 180 and 360 ms delay respectively on each interval BUT if you set those settings here you CAN’T play the song as Vai’s song modulates all the time and doesn’t have a root note so you’ll end up with notes changing where the intervals should remain static...
2: Independent delay times for each pitched voice: CAN’T do that here
3: Pan control for each pitched voice: CAN’T do that either, voices are always panned hard left-right
4: Saving user presets has an error where you CAN’T re-save or overwrite your presets!: If you just fine tuned your preset and want to save it it’ll ask you to save into a a DIFFERENT slot and if you use the same name it’ll still save it into a new different slot adding automatically a number so you’ll soon end up with a LONG list of repeated presets as you CAN’T erase them either!
Eventide developers: please at least reply and hopefully you can fix those bugs and improve on those simple things
Response from developer
Hi, we see you also brought this up on our forum and we've been corresponding there, but we wanted to reply here in case other users have the same requests/concerns: Your points 1, 2, and 3 are all great requests. However, this is simply not the nature of the QVox app - it was designed to be a diatonic pitch shifter based around key and scale, with a limited control set. Sorry about that. Point #4, this is something we have logged in our system and plan to address it in a future update.
Stability problem
When that issue is resolved it will be a 5 star app!
Update:
iPad Pro 10 running iOS 13.3.1
Fault occurs both in freestanding mode and with AUM after around 10 mins
Same fault on iPhone 6S and 6 both running iOS 13.3.1
No link for QVox support on the Eventide website.
Response from developer
Hi, sorry to hear about the issue. Please email support at eventide dot com with your version of iOS, what host app you’re using, and your buffer rate and sample size, and we’ll work to resolve the issue. Also, please make sure you have the latest updates of all apps.
Wow, low latency
