I think the secret maybe to set up the Roland before you download the app. It doesn’t work if you do it the other way. The Roland R07 has a user interface like nothing I’ve seen in the last 15 years. So old and so unfriendly. There is a complete absence of information on pairing.

Love the idea of this app, but…
This app really needs an update, mostly in terms of navigation. I love the R0-1 recorder, so I hope they don’t shelve the app (otherwise additional OS updates will make it eventually obsolete).
Hasn’t seen an update in years.
Connection drops a lot, especially in an area with any wifi at all. Changing the channel seems to help a little bit. You need to reconnect the app quite a bit while recording and you will want to stay within 15 feet.
Overall useable but wish it had more refinement like the R-07 received with numerous firmware updates that make it a great recorder.

Won't pair with an Iphone XS
App does not pair with an iPhone XS or an iPhone 6S with the latest Firmware 1.09
WatchOS version is useless!
App keeps disappearing from the watch making it impossible to remote control and recording. Big disappointment!

This app is so useful when I need to control my R-07 from far away! So far I’ve used it in some pretty built up areas where god know what other wireless signals are flying around and Ive had no drop outs or interference.
