Great app
I have been using this app for a while, it's not bad, although the dictionary could be updated a bit so that if I enter hieroglyphics with the hieroglyphic keyboard, it can search for words. Thanks for your attention
Hieroglyphics won't show in lessons and quizzes.
The lessons are well written but instead of hieroglyphics it just shows a square with a question mark in the middle. The problem doesn't present in the dictionary or palette tho.
Good but has some mistakes and issues
First of all it's great since there's nothing else for Hieroglyphics in an app version.
However, for using as a dictionary it has several issues.
- the Dickson dictionary is a good source, but it's not comprehensive. Adding entries from Faulkner and Rosette project would be great.
- the MdC was confused with Gardiners code
- would be great if the vocabulary is listed according to Gardiner order
- search per Gardiner code(beginning with; containing) is very very useful in my experiences of consulting a dictionary for new hieroglyphics
- there are many variations of one vacabulary, adding variations forms and their origins (listed in Faulkner dictionary) would be a dream
Over all, i wouldn't rely on it for Hieroglyphics lookups but it is quite good with great improvement room.
