About

RaceLyx turns your iPhone or iPad into a complete race timing system. Whether you run an RC club, a home track or a rally stage, you can time a race in seconds. No computer, no login, no complicated setup. CONNECT A TIMER OVER BLUETOOTH Pair with a LapMonitor decoder or the RaceLyx Bridge and start capturing laps the moment a car crosses the line. Choose a lap count or a race clock and go. Your timer stays connected between races, so you pick it once and then just press Start. BUILT FOR RACE DAY • Live leaderboard: running order, lap times, gaps and best laps, updating in real time • Race announcer: calls the top three, lead changes, time warnings and the finish out loud, so you can watch the track • Automatic saving: every race is stored on your device, ready to review and share • Crash recovery: a race in progress survives the app closing or a flat battery • Transponder check: confirm the loop is reading before you start RUN A WHOLE MEETING Plan an event, split your drivers into heats and run several rounds. RaceLyx seeds the grid, tracks which heat is next and scores the day. Championship standings are worked out on the device from the races you have already run, with IFMAR, ROAR, F1 and simple points tables built in. EVERY FORMAT, ONE APP Club races by laps or by time, quick walk-up races, practice and qualifying, endurance with driver swaps and stints, multi-leg finals, fun game modes, and rally or point-to-point stages timed between gates. DRIVER CLASSES Run 2WD and 4WD in the same session and score them apart. Class positions and gaps are measured against the car each driver is actually racing. LYXSPOTTER FOR DRIVERS Follow your own race through your earbuds. Pick your name on any track's live board, put the phone in your pocket, and LyxSpotter calls your position, lap times and the gaps to the cars around you. Press your earbuds to ask where you are. FOLLOW ANY TRACK LIVE Cannot be trackside? Follow live timing, events, results, standings and records from any RaceLyx track. Register for events right from the app. MADE FOR IPAD TOO On iPad the race board gets bigger type for reading from a distance, a live feed of the latest passings beside it, and side-by-side results and track pages. WORKS OFFLINE, AT ANY TRACK Timing, results, the championship and your driver roster all live on the device and work with no signal at all. A free account is optional and adds publishing your results to racelyx.com. WORKS WITH THE RACELYX PLATFORM The app is a companion to the RaceLyx desktop timing software and the live results at racelyx.com. NO ADS. NO TRACKING. RaceLyx contains no advertising and no third-party tracking. Questions or feedback? Contact us at support@racelyx.com

What's New in RaceLyx

2.8.0

October 27, 2026

What's new in 2.8.0 This one brings phone timing in line with the RaceLyx desktop engine, rebuilds rally, and adds club messaging. NEW • Reply to club events from the app, and open club messages straight from a notification. • Rally, rebuilt: one loop at a time, a queue grouped by class, unstage a car that isn't ready, and insights at the end of a stage. • Public results open lap by lap. TIMING NOW MATCHES THE DESKTOP • The race engine scores the way the desktop does, so a session timed on a phone and one timed on a laptop agree. • The announcer calls the flag at zero and the result at the end, with the same words and sounds as the desktop — and a car going out is never dropped from the queue. • What you publish is what the phone actually scored: results carry status, penalties and flagged laps. • Clean pace and mistakes are measured against the median lap. • Misread transponder IDs are dropped at the parser instead of becoming a phantom car. ALSO FIXED • Signing up as a driver keeps your account when you're already signed in. • Public results count drivers, not racers. • Clearer wording throughout: the cars and IDs screen, the Racer QR code, History's publishing hint, the track hub Register button and the alerts bell.
