Radar for Facebook is a geo-sharing application that allows Facebook users to broadcast their location to friends, family, and even public users who share similar interests or mutual friends. It aims to enhance real-life social connections by making it easier to find and meet people nearby.
The Friend Radar feature shows you which of your existing Facebook friends are currently nearby. You can then choose to message them, view their exact location on a map, or get directions to meet up.
The app offers extensive privacy controls, with over ten unique settings, to ensure users feel comfortable sharing their location. You can choose to hide your location or broadcast it only to select groups of friends and family.
Yes, the 'Public Radar' feature allows you to discover and connect with public users who are nearby and share mutual friends or similar interests. You can easily send friend requests and start chats with these new connections.
Based on the provided information, the app is free to use and does not appear to have in-app purchases or advertisements. However, continued use of GPS in the background can significantly decrease battery life.
