About
Collect every nuclide on the chart, one day at a time.
Radionuclide Cards turns nuclear physics into a daily collecting game. Each day brings one new question on radioactivity, nuclear physics, radiation detection, or the history of the field. Answer correctly and you unlock a random radionuclide card. Miss it, read the explanation, and try again tomorrow.
3,359 NUCLIDES TO COLLECT
Every known nuclide, from the free neutron to oganesson, is a card waiting to be found. Each card is laid out like a cell on the classic chart of nuclides: decay colour, symbol, mass number, half-life and main emission energies. Flip it over for the full nuclear data:
• Decay branches and branching ratios
• Spin and parity, atomic mass, mass excess, and binding energy per nucleon
• Q-values for β⁻, electron capture and α decay
• Gamma, alpha and beta emission tables with energies and intensities
• Natural abundance and year of discovery
The data comes from the IAEA Nuclear Data Section (ENSDF decay data and AME atomic masses).
A DAILY QUIZ THAT BUILDS A HABIT
• One question a day, the same for every player
• More than 6,600 questions, rated from one to three stars
• Build a streak to earn bigger card packs: 2 cards per correct answer at 7 days, 3 at 15 days, 4 at 30 days
• Earn streak freezes that protect your streak when life gets in the way
• Share your result without spoiling the answer
LIGHT UP THE CHART OF NUCLIDES
Every card you collect fills in its spot on a full, zoomable chart of nuclides. Magic-number lines mark the shell closures. Watch your collection grow toward the drip lines, then tap any cell to open its card.
EXPLORE IT IN AUGMENTED REALITY
Place the whole chart on your table or floor as a 3D city of nuclides. Column heights follow half-life, so the valley of stability rises in front of you. Walk around it and tap a column to find out which nuclide it is.
GO DEEPER WITH APPLE INTELLIGENCE
Want to know more? After answering, get a tutor-style explanation of why the answer is right, with a real-world example. It's written on your device by Apple Intelligence and never leaves it. (Requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence.)
EARN 42 MEDALS
Collection milestones take you from "First Decay" to "Kilonuclide" and "Drip-Line Voyager". Each decay type also has bronze, silver, gold and platinum medals: β⁻, EC/β⁺, α, spontaneous fission, proton and neutron emission, and more.
MADE FOR CURIOUS MINDS
• Search and filter your collection by decay type
• See your records: longest-lived, shortest-lived, heaviest and oldest discovery
• Share beautiful card images with friends
• Optional daily reminder, sent only on days you haven't played yet
• Your progress syncs across your devices with iCloud
• Available in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, no ads, no tracking. The nuclear data is built into the app, and your progress stays in your own iCloud.
Whether you're a physics student, a radiation protection professional, a health physicist, or just curious about what the universe is made of, Radionuclide Cards gives you something new to discover every day.
