About

Just get cycling: Radrunde plans loops on the node networks of North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) and the Netherlands. You say how far you want to go - the app builds the loop for you. Node by node, back to the start. And if you have a destination, it takes you there - even across the border. HOW IT WORKS 1. Tap a start point on the map (or use your location) and set the distance you want. 2. Radrunde calculates up to three varied loops - with weather, traffic, surface and food & drink along the way. 3. Navigate node by node - along the way, the app always shows you the next node, on the Apple Watch too. WHAT IS A NODE NETWORK? A signposted cycle network with numbered junctions. At every node, a sign shows its number and points the way to the neighbouring nodes - you navigate by following a sequence of numbers (e.g. 12 → 36 → 83). North Rhine-Westphalia is fully covered, with more than 3,000 nodes and around 23,800 kilometres of signposted routes; the Netherlands is covered nationwide - more than 10,000 nodes across all provinces. FEATURES • Loop generator: a loop that brings you back home - as long as you want it to be • Up to three variants per request - swipe to compare • Another Way - if you turn around, leave the route or tap the node panel, Radrunde shows new ways to the same destination. One tap and navigation takes the new way • On the Route - cafés, beer gardens and restaurants along the way, with kilometre marks and as beads on the map • Traffic and surface - two bars show up front how much of the loop is car-free or quiet and how much is asphalt • New: a photo of the route - loops in NRW show a real photo of the way next to the distance; tap it to see it full size, with author and licence • New: light or dark map - choose Automatic, Light or Dark in Map View • Weather for your exact loop: riding window for the next 48 hours and wind for each variant • One-way routes from A to B: say where you want to go - Radrunde guides you along the nodes to the destination address • Across the border: to Radrunde, NRW and the Netherlands are one network - from Kleve to Nijmegen, from Bocholt into the Achterhoek, as a loop or a one-way route • Themed routes: hand-picked loops in NRW and the Netherlands - with things worth knowing along the way, now all on one map too • Node navigation: next node, distance and direction - with a heads-up when you go off route • Apple Watch: next node and turn prompt on your wrist, and the ride is saved in Health • Save and share: loops go into “My Loops”; share any loop as a GPX file, as a link or as a node list with the number sequence in large type for your handlebars • Works offline too: the NRW network is on your device after the first launch, the Netherlands you switch on once in Settings - with no signal, your iPhone calculates the loop itself • All NRW regions, from the Münsterland via the Lower Rhine to the Sauerland - and the whole of the Netherlands • In English, German and Dutch FREE The NRW node network is free for good, and the Netherlands is included free of acking, no ads. PRIVACY No account, no tracking, no ads. For loops and one-way routes, the app sends the start point and the distance you want or your destination to our server; for the weather, the start point; for “Another Way”, your current position and the destination node. We stpseudonymous device ID, with no link to you as a person. Otherwise, yourlocation stays on your device. We store shared loops with no link to you, so that your link works. What's New in Radrunde

3.8.1

October 30, 2026

3.8.1: • The planner works again: on iOS 27.2, Radrunde could freeze when opening the planner - the "Loop | One-Way" switch brought the app to a halt. Fixed. • The same protection now covers "Now | Later" in the weather sheet.
