Opened the app to be greeted with the user interface not working what more is there to say .poor app
App for true carpenters only
Anyone who is not giving this app a five star rating is clueless. The app provides all the necessary angles and information to calculate any hip/valley rafter, length, location, intersection point to construct any roof system. For anyone with a firm grasp on geometry yet lacking an education in trigonometry this app is a must.

Shocking app
This is the worst app ever. Not user friendly at all. Display is horrendous on the iPhone. Can not choose between metric and imperial. Just don’t do it. Save your money
Rafter tools plus
Just brilliant! I agree it’s probably not for everyone - but I found it incredibly intuitive. Helps if you understand trigonometry in the first place.

Not easy to use, nothing explained
Not for everyone.
It’s really hard to understand that anyone would look to this app for basic roof design calculations. I’ve been using “Construction Master” for almost 20yrs and still do every day, but this app goes way beyond that. Obviously the developers assumed that their consumers would already have a good understanding of complex roof design. This app met all of my expectations. It may not be the most polished interface but the shear capabilities of the app are outstanding. If your more of a framing square than a speed square type of carpenter then you’ll understand.

Bad app
Carpenter for 15 years and now I’m in IT, horrible app and I want my money back.
Not good for framing in my opinion
I was looking for an app that would give run length for roof framing based on rise and run. This failed to meet my expectations
Great Teaching Tool!!!
Hip roof systems are by no means easy and with all the helpful articles and drawings that are included in this app you will be cutting hips in no time! Screen shot of this program does no justice to how many angles and information is given. This app is extremely optimized for timber framing as you are able to change the dimensions of your hip and jack rafters, plus explains all the timber framing angles. If you ever plan on cutting a hip take the guess work out of it and by this app!!
