About

RAID Calc2 is retiring. It leaves the App Store on December 31, 2026. It keeps working on your device after that, but won’t get updates. Its successor is RAID Calculator, from the same developer. It’s the same calculator, plus NAS planning for Synology SHR, Unraid, ZFS, SnapRAID and Btrfs, RAID 50 and 60, and RAID-Z. Search the App Store for “RAID Calculator”, or tap the banner in the app. UNTIL THEN, RAID CALC2 STILL DOES THE JOB • RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 and JBOD • Usable and raw capacity, and how efficient the layout is • What the space will show as in TiB, the binary units most systems report • A drive strip showing which drives hold data, parity or mirrors • How many drive failures the array survives • Speed and availability ratings, with a plain-language guide to every level • A caution before a risky rebuild on large drives, with a one-tap switch to RAID 6 • One-tap fixes when the drive count doesn’t suit the level ON EVERY SCREEN • On iPad, and on iPhone Duo opened in landscape, results sit beside inputs • Rotates to landscape on iPhone • Built for iOS 26 with native controls and Liquid Glass • Dark mode, Dynamic Type at every size, and full VoiceOver support • In English, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, German, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese PRIVATE No accounts, no tracking, no ads. Everything stays on your device. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Synology Inc. Synology and SHR are trademarks of Synology Inc. Not affiliated with or endorsed by Lime Technology, Inc. What's New in RAID Calc2

1.8.0

October 15, 2026

This is the last update to RAID Calc2, which leaves the App Store on December 31, 2026. RAID Calculator, from the same developer, is the same app plus NAS planning, RAID 50 and 60, and ZFS. RAID Calc2 now tells you about the move and opens RAID Calculator’s App Store page for you. This update also brings everything RAID Calc2 has been missing: • A redesigned calculator: the answer first, then a drive strip showing which drives hold data, parity or mirrors • A caution before a risky rebuild on large drives, with a one-tap switch to RAID 6 • One-tap fixes for setups that don’t work • The usable space in TiB, as most systems report it • Five more languages: German, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese • Landscape on iPhone, and a two-column layout on iPhone Duo • Full VoiceOver and Dynamic Type support RAID Calc2 keeps working after December 31, 2026. It just won’t get updates.
