Best DCC App on the market
I’ve tried a few apps and this is by far my favourite. Easy to use, intuitive and works great with my DCC-EX CSB1. Programming and updating functions on my sound locos are a doddle.
Set up and connecting point motors is easy. The support if you need it is good. I’ve imported my locos from my phone to iPad which was easy. Hats off to the developers!

Easily the best throttle app for use with DCC-EX
Easily the best throttle app for use with DCC-EX. I tried nearly all of them, and this app is feature rich, has a logical interface and seems to be in active development.
This is the BEST DCC throttle app!
I use this app with a Digitrax command station and their LNWI WiFi interface. I have the app installed on both my iPhone and iPad, and it works beautifully on both. There are so many great features that I doubt I could describe them all in a single review. For running trains, I love that you can fully customize each locomotive in your roster with custom function keys and an uploaded picture of the loco, which makes it very easy to find the loco in your roster.
Setting up consists is a breeze, and you can roughly speed match them right in the app, as well as set lighting and direction for each loco in the consist.
Perhaps my favorite feature is the ability to control turnouts from the app using a touch screen schematic of your layout. You will have to create the schematic outside the app and then upload an image. Then you place turnout icons over the image. The icons are mapped to stationary decoders controlling the turnouts and will show which way the switch is set. Tap on it and the switch motor throws the turnout. You can set up multiple schematics for different sections of your layout. This feature alone is worth the price of the app!
The downsides are relatively minor. The biggest one is that you cannot program CVs through the app if you are using the Digitrax system (this may not be true with other system protocols). Secondly is that if you have the app on more than one device, you will have to make changes to each device separately. There is a handy feature to copy loco and device rosters from one device to another by use of a QR code (very clever!), but it won’t transfer pictures of locomotives or layout schematic images.
FYI, I have been using this app for about 6 weeks. At first there were some bugs, but I sent an email describing my issues to the developer. He communicated back to me promptly, and all of the issues that I encountered were addressed in a subsequent software update. He also took some recommendations for improvements and added those as well. Thank you John! Love your app!! And can’t wait to see future improvements. It will only get better, I’m sure.

All you need
Used other apps before that have been incredibly expensive and nowhere near as good as this.
Has stood up to exhibition use and been absolutely flawless, barely uses any battery - can start a day at a show on 100% and be at 75% by close (iPhone 16 pro max). Works perfectly with an ECoS and turned what you need a degree in computer science to use into something my grandad can pick up and programme.
Seriously impressed and saved me a fortune replacing an ESU handheld.
Lads and lasses at youchoos - I salute you
