More Ads then Trains
Prior to and during Covid, this app was enjoyable for train enthusiast. You could watch train streams all day with no interruptions. Currently, however, it’s nothing but a cesspool of ads. Live stream cameras seem to buffer more so than not and ads interrupt train streams every 20 minutes. It’s annoying and unfortunate. Deleted the app.

I dont know how else to contact you guys, and this is my favorite train watching platform so I’m leaving 5 stars. Whenever I sign in and go to an engineer camera, it shows me the “purchase subscription” screen with no sign in option. It’s quite annoying and the conrail unit will be going by waldwick soon. Please fix this, thank you!

Bro this is awesome the railcams for free are so cool and even the fact that you can sometimes catch big boy 4014 like I did June 6, 2026 I really don’t mind the lag. I cannot wait for the next heritage unit or next time I get to see 4014. Also show up to virtual railfan for saying they would put the profile picture on Fostoria Ohio to big boy 4014 in passing through there. Seriously like we need more real hands I would love if you put the Thomasville real come on there. This is so much better than virtual real fan because virtual railfan you have to pay for a sub subscription if you even wanna watch a real cam both if you added the Thomasville and sea rail cam the good thing is that you can watch members only real cams on YouTube for free well virtual rail fan you’re gonna miss some trains cause you flipping have to use the members only on YouTube see those trains and Im just a kid. I can’t do that my mom don’t have the money these rooms are awesome virtual rail fan on the other hand. I mean, I don’t mind virtual fan but the fact that you can’t have it on like your iPad or iPhone without a subscription and that you have to have YouTube it sucks man this is so much better It’s like you only have five seconds before you can skip. I don’t know what the complaining is about. It should be at least a 4.7 rating.

Don’t see the value of this app…
Was once the business, Railstream, not the app. And this app adds little value to the membership that doesn’t feel worth it at times. Switching between cameras, or the tiny window that will not turn on a phone are not what you expect in a paid service.
Issues
Good app and use it every night but on the Boyce Cam on 3/3/26 the cam is stuck at night time and has been going all day but the time is still going. You can only hear the trains and I was waiting for NS 8099 but missed it due to the cam being frozen
To many Ads
There are to many ads every time I get one there is a add
Please add Thomasville NC railcam for free
I love this app but I also like watching trains in Thomasville NC as well so please add the Thomasville NC railcam on this app it would be huge for this app especially if it’s free to watch.
Pretty good…but
I was really hoping Railstream would have a Metra camera and it said $12 per month so I got really mad. The people should lower the price to about $10 per year! I will lose my mind if they don’t lower the price by next week! They are idiots if they don’t lower the price!
Sound bugs on fostoria Ohio and bugs
I love this but fix fostoria Ohio free cams so many sound bugs and sometimes my Railstream crashes or freezes or gets slow slow pls pls pls pls pls fix also 5 star for no ads also add the freaking multi view cams back pls I would love them and see if you can add more multi view cams. We need a Thomasville NC rail cam for free because I live in Thomasville, please add the downtown Thomasville rail cam it would be perfect.

Much more difficult to log in, and once you do, you don’t seem to recall I have been a member for years. I’ll stick with browser on my tablet and not clutter up with this…

Too much messing around with the app
Seems the Roku app works just fine but whatever they did on their last update has killed the iPad app

App keeps kicking me out every time, doesn’t realize I’m a member.
I’m not happy with this problem that I have every time when I visit the site: the App keeps kicking me out every time, doesn’t realize I’m a member of the Virtual Railfan train camera as I’m a member. This is absolutely disgraceful, disgusting and despicable. The site shouldn’t be doing this to me, I want absolute free access to the site and the App. I want you guys to please fix this issue.
