Dès l’origine !

On adore cette appli qui au début permettait de dénicher des lieux de vins nature… et le permet toujours et à démarré nourrie par les participants. La cuisine était toujours très intéressante et c’est notre guide Michelin. Quelques margoulins on compris la combine et répondent en apparence au cahier des charges. Heureusement ils sont peu nombreux mais il faut quand même faire attention.

has become a business now

Raisin began as a true platform for people to share their love for Natural Wines. Now it has become a bit of a cartel where, based on very obscure criteria, they decide who they show and who they don't. Very unfortunate.

We have not changed a bit! Raisin has always been and remains a platform dedicated to sharing the love for natural wine. 🍷 Our criteria are clear and publicly available on our website. Winemakers must respect standards on sulfite levels and avoid chemical interventions in the winery. Venues must have at least 30% natural wine on their wine list. 🏡 We are a business, but one driven first and foremost by our mission and passion. We don’t sell or rent data, and there is no advertising or targeting on our app. 🔒 Transparency has always been at the core of what we do. ✨

Misleading

Did you know that they only show locations that carry 30% or more of wine that has gone through THEIR PERSONAL verification process? Based on my experience of the process these are the people who have paid to jump to the front of the line. So the super small 100% natural winemakers don’t have the opportunity to benefit from visibility on this platform even though they absolutely meet their criteria. Additionally, Winemakers that don’t see the benefit of paying an app to verify their practices are also not listed despite being 100% within Raisin’s criteria. Don’t be fooled into thinking that the wines they list are the only natural wines on the market or that the stores listed are the only stores that carry a significant amount of natural wine.

Attention à ne pas trop accueillir d’établissements qui ne sont pas à la hauteur des exigences en termes de qualité gastronomique
2/3 bouteilles en biodynamie ne doivent pas cacher le reste…

Why is there no option to turn off the opening sound?

Having to hear the French version of The Shining twins murmur “raaiiiisssiinn” like they’re going to kill me from within the phone makes me never want to open this app.

We plan our trips around Raisin now.

Raisin is *the* go-to app for us. Before we plan a vacation, we look at cities that have numerous places on Raisin. Raisin has helped us find some of the best natural wine + dining experiences we’ve ever had. Will not stop talking about it and encouraging others to download it!

My only criticism, I wish it was easier to “suggest” places that aren’t on the app. Sometimes we stumble upon hidden gems that should be on Raisin. It requires you to submit photos and other evidence, which is cumbersome.

Super Appli même si pas toujours à jour

J’utilise beaucoup cette super appli quand je suis loin de chez moi. Par contre il faut quand même vérifier car certains établissements n’existe plus.
Par ailleurs certains vignerons sont référencés mais ne sont pas vraiment nature par ex ils ont 2 cuvées sans souffre au milieu de 6 cuvées conventionnelles et les 2 sans souffre sont levurées donc à mon sens pas nature…
Il est dommage de ne pas pouvoir signaler ces abus aux gestionnaires de l’appli. Ou alors je ne sais pas comment…

No customer support for defective app

I was hoping to use the app while in Rome, but instead all I got was the opening screen, the 4 pages I can’t navigate from, which all explain what natural wine is.
I had big hopes so uninstalled and re-installed about a dozen times, and tried going online to register (though this can only be done via the app - which doesn’t work enough to give this option) but had no luck. I tried searching why it might not work, but my iPhone is up to date and the app declares it will work on my phone. I’ve contacted raisin via email, via Facebook messenger, and by tagging in an FB post - nothing.
Lucky I know some people in Rome and got some tips directly because all in all, the Raisin app has been a total disappointment.

Good but one noticeable glitch

Good app but after taking a photo to add a wine, when entering the winemaker name it glitches out which is quite annoying.

Otherwise all good so far.
