What's New in Rando

1.5 - Video Support

May 18, 2026

VIDEO SUPPORT Your videos now join the random rotation alongside your photos. What's New: - Videos in Photos albums and folders — Tap the random button or run a slideshow and your videos appear right alongside your photos, playing automatically (mute toggle in Settings → Media). - Live Photos — Live Photos in your library play their motion preview in the slideshow with a Live Photos badge in the corner. - Video scrub bar — Drag the slider on a playing video to scrub to any point; elapsed and remaining time labels help you find your spot. - Videos play to their natural end — The slideshow waits for the video to finish before advancing, instead of cutting it off at the photo interval. - Folder video support — Videos in folder sources (Files app, iCloud Drive, On My iPhone) are included too. A Settings toggle lets you change your mind later. - Smoother middle-tap — Fixed a glitch where tapping in the middle band of the screen during a slideshow didn't hide the controls reliably. Settings → Media lets you control video inclusion per source, audio behavior, and a duration cap for very long videos. 100% private. Photos and videos never leave your device.

LOVE. THE. SORTING.

Thank you so much for incorporating the sorting feature into the random app. I know it’s an odd request but I find the apps file retrieval speed is much MUCH faster that other tools I’ve used that were ‘pro’ tools costing beyond my price range. THANK YOU RANDO!
