Dear creator, please reply

Hello! I wanted to say ur app is really good and it’s quite useful when I’m trying to pick someone. I just wanted to know what the music is called. Thanks for help! Ryan

I can’t open it anymore

I have both the pro and free version and I can’t access them on my phone. I used to be able to, but now I can’t. Any advice?

Harrison

Harrison is in your place

This app is the worst ever

I can't figure out how to add names to the groups and there are too many adds I should have just not downloaded it, at least it didn't cost me money

TOO MANY ADS

This game has too many ads don’t download it.

Disappointed

I used to have it on my old iTunes account(for many years). Decided to download it to my school account and now so many features that used to be free I now have to pay a ridiculous $4 for. I’d pay $0.99 for it but not $3.99

Ads are nonstop

And you can only add 20 students to a group

Response from developer

Hi Xxxxjxhxxx999, I am sorry you feel the ads in the app are too frequent. We have designed the app so ads are never shown on the main display screen, that is while names are being randomly displayed. They should only be displayed when the user moves off the main and into the settings screen. If this is not the case, please email support@academyapps.net and I will be glad to look into this for you. In this FREE version of the app we have limited the number of names in a Group to 20, and the number of Groups to 3. This is stated in the description of the app. The paid version of the app has no limitations on the number of groups or the number of group members that can be assigned. I hope this information proves useful and do please get in touch via the support@academyapps.net email address if you feel you continue to see too many ads.

Sorry not sorry, waste of time ❤️

Trash app but you can improve it by renovation

Dropbox?

I have been playing with the free version to decide whether I want to upgrade to the pro. My biggest question is about using dropbox. I have read that I can export my lists to dropbox. But can I import my lists from dropbox to the app? Throughout the year I teach close to 500 students. I do not want to have to type every child’s name in. Can someone please let me know if importing my lists will work? Or will I have to type the names.

Hi Montgummy, Thanks for taking the time to contact us. The answer is Yes. You can export the lists you are using currently in the Starter version to Dropbox and then "import" them into the Pro version. As the Starter version is limited to 3 groups with up to 20 Group members in each...this is the maximum Groups/Group members you will have to import. However, with the Pro version...when you connect your Dropbox account, the app will upload 2 x sample files (one text file and one CSV file) each containing some sample Groups/Group members (Classes/Students). You can use these to test your dropbox connectivity, but also to see the format of the csv or text file required to import your existing Classes/Students. The sample files are stored in a folder called "apps/academyapps/import" (the folder and files are created when you link your dropbox account). The idea is that you create a text or CSV file to import any number of Classes/Students, using the format shown in the "sample files". So you will need to populate and format that file. Then copy the file you have created to the "apps/academyapps/import" folder on your dropbox account. Now when you go into the "Random Name Selector Pro" app and select the import option you should see the file you have created. You simply select it and your Classes/Students will be imported. The app will check for any formatting errors and notify you if there are any. There is no upper limit for the numbers of Groups/Group members (Classes/Students) apart from the available space on your device. I hope that answers your question. But if you do have any issues importing then just email you text/CSV import file to support@academyapps.net and we can help you with it. Also, in the Pro version you can email from directly inside the app.

Good

Works quite nice

Response from developer

Hi Miaonipad, Glad to hear you like the app. If you can think of any ways in which it could be improved, please use the feedback email inside the app by going to "Settings/Feedback" your comments/suggestions will be sent directly to us. We read all the feedback, and any suggestions for improvements could well be included in the next release of the app!

Suggestion

Can you guys make it so that we can refresh the list if it hasn't completely went through its full cycle.

Response from developer

Hi Hunter, Firstly thanks for the 4 Star review! ...we really appreciate it, and for taking the time to get back to us with the suggested feature. Actually, the "reset" function you describe is included in the "Pro" version of the app (along with a number of other features you might find useful). I apologise if this sounds like a sales pitch for the Pro version....but it is true! Just tap on the "GoPro" button in the app to see the additional features available in the "Pro" version. We believe the Free "Starter" version of the app is still a useful tool in it's own right...the Pro version just takes it to the next level for those who can use the added functionality. Also, please do get back to us if you have any other suggestions for improvements or issues with the app. We have a "Help" page and "Feedback" form inside the app to make it as easy as possible for you to contact us.
