Schedule doesn’t work
Response from developer
Hi td_stl, sorry to hear about that! Are you using Allow or Block mode when composing reminders? Sleep schedules only work with Block mode. I’ll make sure to clarify that in a future update. Please let me know if I can assist any further by using the contact option in Settings. Have a wonderful day!
Can't make reminder execute a shortcut
When I try to add a shortcut to a routine I am given the option to use either "Text" or "Clipboard", and I have no idea how to use that to link to a shortcut. If I can get a reply from the app maker on how to do this I'll increase my rating.

Hello MD253! The way to use shortcuts in Randominder is to select the action and then enter the name of the shortcut exactly as it appears in the Shortcuts app. Keep in mind that this is case-sensitive. Optional: some shortcuts may accept text as input. You can enter that text in the "Text" option, or use whatever is on your clipboard at the time with the "Clipboard" option. Most shortcuts don't require any input so you can leave this on "None" and the shortcut will run fine. Developers unfortunately don't have the ability to fetch a list of the user's shortcuts, so it has to be done manually by filling in the shortcut name. If/when Apple adds that functionality, Randominder will be updated to support that as well. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Cheers, Dana
Best App for random Reminders.
Excellent app! Confusing UI
I work a night time security job where I do checks every 15 minutes on sleeping kids who are in a state of high risk of causing harm to themselves or others. My job is to make sure they stay alive and don’t hurt anyone.
The problem is that if I set reminder alarms every 15 minutes, they catch on to the pattern and will misbehave between my 15 minute checks because they know the schedule.
I found this app in my search for an iOS app or a clock or something to help me make sure I’m remembering to do at least 4-6 checks every hour but I wanted the time to be split up into random increments so they can’t predict the schedule.
This is the perfect app!! I set up 9 separate schedules between 10pm-11pm, 11pm-12am, 12am-1am, etc. The small problem is I can’t schedule something through the last hour of the of the day, 12 am. For the 11pm-12am schedule, the app keeps shifting the time to PM or else adjusting the time I have scheduled. So the closest I can get for that hour is 11pm-11:45pm.
To the developer, I work in software too so I know the feeling of getting emails requesting random things from people that doesn’t seem to fit the way the software was intended to be used. As a result their requests can sometimes fall off the side.
If you can make this change for me, I’d really appreciate it!!
I’m still rating 5/5 because it’s perfect for everything except that 15 minute window between 11:45pm-12:00am
Does exactly what I was looking for

Thank you for leaving this review! You’ve made my week haha it honestly means the world. And it’s awesome to see how you’re using Randominder for random sampling. Good luck on your journey, and let me know if there’s anything I can help with!
Notification limit a week is a bummer
Response from developer
Hi Nilsej, Randominder has gotten a lot more powerful since your review and I'd love for you to give it another try! I'll leave my original explanation below to clear up the misunderstanding. iOS apps are allowed to schedule up to 64 notifications at the same time. The operating system starts discarding notifications after 64 already-scheduled-but-yet-to-be-delivered notifications. With Randominder you can have approximately 450 notifications per week by scheduling 64 repeating daily notifications. In order to prevent situations where you schedule notifications that never arrive, Randominder presents a gauge with remaining space, colors, popups and text explaining this limit. So if you already have 64 notifications scheduled and they haven't arrived yet, you won't be able to create more. Apps that do allow you to schedule more than 64 notifications at the same time are not telling you that they will never arrive. By design, Randominder does not have this problem. In our email conversation I've included a link to Apple's documentation on notifications, as well as a link to get a full refund. Unfortunately it's impossible for developers to exceed this limit. Thanks for trying out Randominder, and good luck on your journey!
Simple. Simple perfect.
