Point your iPhone at a trading card. Rarex works out exactly which printing you are holding, shows you what the market says it is worth, and files it into a collection that lives on your phone. No account. No ads. No numbers it made up. SCAN INSTEAD OF TYPING Looking a card up by hand means knowing the set, the collector number, and which of half a dozen printings is in your fingers. Rarex reads it off the card instead. It finds the card in the frame, straightens the image so a photo taken at an angle still reads cleanly, and lifts the name, collector number, set code and set total off the print. Those signals are weighed against every candidate printing until one clearly wins. Collector numbers are the strongest signal, so the parser handles the formats that are actually printed: 125/198, 4/102, TG15/TG30, SV107/SV122, and the bare numbers on modern cards. TG15 never matches 15. 004 always matches 4. THE CAMERA GUIDES YOU, IT DOESN'T DECIDE Live guidance checks that the card is detected, large enough in frame, well lit, free of glare, still, and in focus — then tells you which one to fix instead of just failing. The shutter is always yours to press. Rarex never fires it for you. Already have a photo? Import it from your library and identify it without the camera at all. PRICES THAT DON'T PRETEND Market values come from the Pokémon TCG API, which aggregates marketplace pricing. • A card with no price data says so, instead of showing a zero or an interpolated guess • Price breakdowns list the printings the source actually priced — no fabricated Near Mint or PSA 10 tiers • Each refresh records one observed snapshot per card per day, so the charts show what really happened • A brand new card's chart is empty and explains why, rather than being back-filled with invented points When two printings score too closely to separate, Rarex says so: you get "Is this your card?" with the top candidates and the text it read off the print, so you can settle it in a second. Below a floor of confidence, it claims nothing at all. Rarex does not grade cards from photographs and does not pretend to: you get the five-step scale from Near Mint to Damaged, and the judgement stays where it belongs. IT STAYS ON YOUR PHONE No sign-up. No password. No sync server. No analytics or advertising SDKs. Your cards, photos and notes are stored on your device. Camera frames are analysed on the device and are never uploaded anywhere. Delete the app and the data goes with it. Your saved collection stays readable offline, card images and all — identifying a new card is the one thing that needs a connection. WHAT IS SUPPORTED Pokémon is live today.
