RatioGear Forge

RatioGear Forge is a mechanical gear transmission puzzle about turning tooth counts into the right output speed. Each repair order places a compact watchmaker mechanism on the bench with a Base RPM, a Target RPM, and four named positions: Drive, Stage A, Stage B, and Output. Your job is to choose from visible 16T, 24T, and 32T gears, then route power through the four slots so the final shaft lands inside the target tolerance. Tap a gear to select it, tap a slot to install it, or tap a filled slot to clear the placement. When all four positions are filled, the mechanism spins up and calculates the output: Base RPM x Drive / Stage A x Stage B / Output. Every order is a small ratio experiment. A larger Drive gear can raise the first stage. A larger Stage A gear can reduce it. Stage B and Output form the second transfer pair, so the final answer depends on the whole train rather than one isolated gear.
