Play incredibly slow chess on Raven! Online chess these days is insanely addictive. Whatever happened to just playing a game with a friend, sending a move, waiting for their response, having a sip of coffee, or watching a whole week go by, maybe your favorite band comes to town and you go see their show, maybe you meet someone fascinating in the ticket line, and you meet up the next day and start to feel the first pitter patters in your tummy, those flutters of early potential romance, and then suddenly—you're in check, wait, what? Raven is a messaging application that reimagines communication by slowing down the delivery process. Instead of instant notifications, your messages are transported across a real-world map by chosen characters, creating anticipation and a unique experience.
You select a charming character to deliver your message. The message then travels across a detailed map, and you can track its progress in real-time. The message can only be read by the recipient once the character has completed its journey.
The app is free to download and use. However, it offers in-app purchases, suggesting that some features or character options may require payment.
While specific compatibility details are not provided, it is a mobile application, implying it is designed for smartphones and tablets running common mobile operating systems like iOS or Android.
This app is ideal for those who find modern instant messaging too overwhelming or impersonal. It appeals to users who enjoy the art of letter writing, value anticipation, and want to make their communications more meaningful and memorable.
