Brilliant app!

I use this app for hosting Rally events on gta online. It’s really really good! It works by colour which is perfect for what I need it for. At first I didn’t get the set up in the race session, but it’s pretty straight forward. Before you press start, go on setup. Align your camera at the start and park whichever car you’re setting up in shot. In the colour tab, Click the part of the car with the colour you’re picking. Then in the threshold tab adjust the tolerance until you can only see the section of the car where that colour is lit up. Then adjust the threshold to where the point where the bar turns from white to green then drive out of the camera shot and back in to make sure it activates. Do the same for all the cars and voila!

Garage Floor Mini Z Timing!!

This is a great app for timing our Kyosho Mini Z cars in the Garage floor. So far it has been completely accurate even running off one of the colours of a multicoloured livery. Pitstops have been great fun too!

No sound on internal speaker

There is no sound when not connected to bluetooth speaker

Straightforward. Needs some attention.

It seems like a good app but when you make the car a certain color it doesn’t store. So every time you go to race you have to set it up again. And you have to pay for most features, which is okay, I just wanna buy everything at once for like 5$ though, not all these separate purchases. Maybe a full version? Other than that it’s a great idea, just needs some modern help.

Really great

Good app, I use it with my turbo racing 1/76 and it’s perfect. App can recognize many different cars colors and you can realize many chronos at the same time. I use it when I race with 3 others friends, and the fun is here ✌️😊

Black car on slot track

Can’t seem to get the app to detect a black car on the trace. Any advice?

Great alternative to expensive timing systems.

Was looking to add timing for my backyard off-road track, didn’t want to spend over a grand for friends and my kids to drive so I started looking into apps. It took a bit to get this calibrated right to recognize the cars, but once I did it’s been great.

Backyard fun!

Very impressed by RC Timing. I tried it out in my backyard with a course running around a set of cones and over a jump. Had my iPhone 12 Plus Max on a tripod with a battery pack (because my battery was low when I started). Even at dusk it worked well tracking my red Tamiya HotShot driving on beige grass. Didn’t even need to turn on the LED light. It occasionally missed a lap, but that was probably my camera configuration not being perfect (too big of a threshold for the target before I figured out how to adjust it). I’m just using the timer as a novelty as I’m not racing at a track, but thought it would be fun to check my times somehow. I wore my AirPods and got the times announced in my ears from across the yard! So fun to have that iconic “track voice” at home. My other buggy is a Tamiya Grasshopper which probably won’t work because it is box-art white. Will considering purchasing the upgrades but kind of wish there was an unlock-all-for-one-price option. Only real complaint is that the UI is a bit buggy and a bit unpolished. It’s functional though once you figure it out.

Good but wish it had slightly more features

I like the app so far; I haven’t done a thorough test and setting camera car colors seems to be a little hard to get right but I’m figuring it out. I’m a little confused on some of the setup but overall seems very efficient at doing what you need it to do. I have purchased all the in app purchases to help support this team.

Some features that I would love to see

- Formula 1 style Starting Light Sequence when beginning the race

- It would be nice if you could have Driver profiles and could then attach different cars for each event to the driver. I have a lot of friends playing and we all take turns picking different cars. So it would be nice to see driver 1 and then could add car 1 and then the next race we could switch and say driver 1 is driving car 2.. then it could keep track of the driver history and race results.

A lot of potential!

I tried to use this outside. My car was white, and the camera was so washed out, even after adjusting settings, it couldn’t distinguish between sunlight on the dark asphalt and my white car. I tried adding a strip of red duct tape to the car, but the color was washed out the red stripe didn’t show up on the camera to select as the color of choice.

Doesn’t work with IOS 14

Spent hours trying to set up the app. Multiple camera angles, multiple cars etc. Even tried spending the $3.99. The app would count laps by itself or just miss the cars most of the time. Don't spend hours like I did. Just look for something else. Will ask for a refund from Apple store.

Works great

Once you get the color detection dialed in it works great! It would excellent if the race data could be exported as csv or some spreadsheet format.

Superb!

Works perfectly on our Mini-Z track! Good interface, highly adjustable, with good voice prompting.

Can’t drag more than one car if you don’t buy it

Why is is that I can’t drag all the 7 cars up

No sound

Difficult to get setup, but seems to work. Unfortunately, sound doesn’t seem to work on an iPhone 6s.

Last lap

Love the app. I use it to track indoor Mini-Z cars drifting around a pvc home made 66 feet circuit. Surface is light beige tile. Lighting is bright and even. Using an iPhone 8 it tracks my dark red Honda Civic Type R very well (no stickers). It occasionally misses a blue car and has a hard time with a green car. Both the blue and green have small stickers here s and there.
It would be great to have a last lap announcement as an option.

Awesome RC lap timer app!

I love this app! After trying the free version that tracks one car only I was sooo impressed I paid for the upgrade to 10 cars.
W my iPad basically lying on top of a box that you drive under for start finish line the timer works flawlessly. Note: I used two identical losi mini t 2.0 so I covered one body w green masking tape and the other in blue masking tape to set them as different colours and it doesn’t miss any laps in a 100 lap basement race w average 12 sec laps. AWESOME! Every rc person should have this!

This don’t even work at all

I would like a refund please. This does not work at in no aspect at all. I would really like my money back. It can not even track one car let alone trying ten. All I have is 4 cars and it will not stop just doing own things. Total waist.

Response from developer

Sorry for reading that! I think you can ask Apple for refund.

Utile

Nécessite des améliorations sur l’UI, mais la détection fonctionne bien ! Super
