do NOT use this trash app.
Stay far away from this garbage app! I just wasted 30 minutes recording audio on it, only to find out there's absolutely no sound.
Simple to use but one major issue
I prefer to use a simple recording app like this with my Rode mic but have one recommendation - recording should still continue even when phone screen is off. The automatic stop on a recording if phone is not open on app is very restrictive and not practical.
Does not support Direct Connect
This app has not been updated to support R0DE’s Direct Connect feature.
Please rethink file names
I love this app. I have a change request. Please name saved files something sane like, YYYY-MM-DD_hhmmss.wav
Twenty-four hour time. No spaces, no commas, no other punctuation characters. Yes, I know, I can rename the files but that is a pain to do on the phone. Would be so much nicer if it were sane in the first place. Bonus points, let the user specify a custom format using, for example, format specifiers for the c library function, strftime(). Also, document the interaction (or non-interaction?) between Rode reporter app and Rode central app. Seems like reporter does not honor settings made in rode central - mic gain on the Rode AI-micro for example.

Requests:
1) make it play recordings in the background
2) use the current location and date/time for names, like ios voice memos.
3) make the waveform larger, it’s really tiny, i can’t see if it peaks

I downloaded this app because the Rode help page said I could update the microphone but there is no update function. Mic has static.

It is so glitchy
It’s worked just a few times on my iPhone 13 Pro. I’ve updated it etc. I can’t use the mic without the app ?!?!
UNREADABLE library titles.
The version of this app that I downloaded in 2020 worked great. But the current version makes it impossible to read the tittles for my recordings. The date only is displayed in the library. If I want to read the title I have to click on every single recording individually. This is a HUGH time waster. ALSO this app does not synch between iOS devices using the iCloud. I’d like to record on the phone and edit on the iPad. This app won’t allow it. POOR.

Will not waste time writing much: One word for this app which doesn’t record: RUBBISH!
Stopped Recording
Have used it for several years. It just stopped recording and playback recordings from previous. I lost all my previous recordings of conversations.
Frustrating and Bad
90% of the time it doesn’t register my Rode AI Micro properly, making it impossible to record. The whole point of the AI Micro is supposed to be easy on the go recording, but the only way I can use it on my iPhone is to adjust the AI Micro mic settings in the Rode Connect App and record in Voice Memo 🙄

Last update issue
Since the last update, I only seem to record silence. My last recording I made was an interview with someone and I got nothing.
Good recorder, takes forever to start
Sometimes takes about fifteen seconds to start the app, which can be plenty of time to miss what you were trying to capture.

Keine Verbindung zu Rode ME
Seit dem letzten Update kann sich die App nicht mehr zu den Rode ME Mikrofonen verbinden. In der Central App wird alles angezeigt und kann gut verwaltet werden, aber in der Reporter App wird nur das Interne Mikrofon ausgewählt.
Schade, aber diese App erfüllt ihren einzigen Zweck aktuell gar nicht.. Die ME Mikrofone sind top, aber ohne diese App sollte man lieber bei der Konkurrenz kaufen!

Использую Rode Videomic Go II, в этом приложении не записывается звук, в остальных программах устройство распознается и по умолчанию записывает на подключенный микрофон
