About

Read is a read-it-later app you can also listen to. Save an article, a web page or a PDF, and read it when you have a minute, or press play and Read reads it to you, then moves on to the next one, like a podcast. LISTEN LIKE A PODCAST Up Next plays your articles in order and carries on to the next when each one finishes, so a commute becomes your reading list, read aloud. Your headphones' next button skips ahead, a sleep timer stops it for you, and Read remembers the speed you like. READING OR LISTENING, FROM THE SAME PLACE Stop reading on the bus and carry on listening on the walk home, from the same sentence. While Read speaks, the words light up on the page, so you can follow along whenever you look down. SAVE FROM ANYWHERE In Safari or any other app, tap Share and choose Read. Copy a link and Read offers to save it with one tap. If you're offline, the link is saved at once and the article downloads when you're back online. IN YOUR LANGUAGE An article in another language can open already translated, on your iPhone, and Read speaks the translation. Translations are marked as machine translated, and the original is one tap away. THE NEWS, FROM WHEREVER YOU'RE FROM Follow papers and sites by country and by interest, from public news feeds in 176 countries. Stories open on the publisher's own page; save the ones you want to keep. QUIET BY DESIGN No account. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Your library stays on your iPhone. Saved articles are downloaded, so they read and play without a connection. An optional Safari extension hides cookie banners as you browse. COMING FROM POCKET? Read imports the export file Pocket gave you, so your saved articles come with you. You can export your own library from Read at any time.
