Software Engineer struggling to get simple DB sync to work

Installed client/server on a macOS machine, installed mobile app on iPhone 7. Created a DB on the server, ran Server config, enabled mobile sync. Tried scanning 3 barcodes on the iPhone, and was unable to sync them to the server. Connections were being made, but incomplete error messages were being returned (i.e. “Auto-Catalog is not”). Scoured through website knowledge base and help documents, and nobody mentions this “error” or how to fix it. I thought this app had potential, but it’s poor user interface make it difficult to love.

DVD Cataloguer (Readerware 3)

I downloaded the program and struggled to get it working it would scan easy enough and read the bar codes a dream on my iPad I have a few DVDs and want to catalogue them so I can find dvds a lot quicker and stop duplicating my collection.

Long and short of it I couldn’t get the program to run it seems to access the net to find the information from a bar code I had trouble setting up the data base and it kept asking for an address or name of the computer made no sense to me. Given up and removed it. Sorry but needs more work to make it more user friendly.

Excellent

I make use of this and Readerware Books and they are both an excellent way to catalog your videos / books. Never had an issue with this software. Easy to use and having mobile view makes it easy to check whether you own a certain movie.
