Not As Advertised
Up front, this app seems to have everything. I can tell a lot of work went into this. However, what they don’t tell you is in order to use it truly, you have to sign up. Nor does it tell you about any of the cloud services that they want you to use. Yeah you can add books to try it out, but then a pop-up pops up and asks you to sign in.
In fact, the only place you’ll know that there is cloud services, is if you check the in-app purchases here, or on the android version. They do not say this in on their website.
Not only that, they tout themselves as an open source software. No offense, but they are giving open source a bad name by not being clear here what that actually means for them. It’s not that they aren’t open source, they are, (from what I can tell, I’m not a programmer) it’s that they aren’t being open with their communication.

Ce que j'ai écrit sur l'option WebDAV retirée de l'offre gratuite reste valable.
Dommage de ne pas proposer une offre sans hébergement avec juste l'achat de l'application, même si la première offre reste peu chère.
Dans la version gratuite, vous avez enlevé la possibilité d’utiliser notre hébergement personnel en Webdav, et on doit payer maintenant pour cette option. Donc on doit payer tous les mois pour utiliser notre propre espace de stockage … Merci, bel esprit.
Avec cette application, je pense avoir trouvé la perle rare. Super pour gérer une bibliothèque de documents, de livres, de PDF, etc.
Mais elle ne fait pas que ça ! 👍🏻
En plus, esthétiquement, elle est très agréable.

Certainly it’s not true. The premium feature for WebDAV and Google Drive is also available for the one-time lifetime purchase.
Good, but…
Great app, however it would be cool if it cached my configurations locally and stopped showing me the login page every time I open the application, while also resetting my options.

love it! would love a home button
this is by far the most straight forward ereader app i’ve found. it offers really nice simple customization and organization. it would be really helpful to add a home button somewhere in the page navigation ui because the ‘x’ in the top right is really small and i’m left handed (i wish i could change it to where the bookmark button is). it would also be great if the app remembered how far down a list we are, because scrolling back to where i was previously browsing everytime i click a book and click out gets annoying.

较大文件阅读问题
感谢开发者开发，使用这个软件阅读一个月了，体验很好。但是有一个小小问题，在阅读较大体积文件（25-30mb文件）的时候会有明显卡顿，具体表现为翻页时卡在两页之间，虽然只是很小的一瞬间，但是会破坏沉浸时的阅读体验，不知道是不是翻页动画的问题。

Последним обновлением 0.11.12 сделали читалку не пригодной к использованию, потому что перестал работать scrolling (Режим прокрутки). Предыдущая версия работала хорошо особенно для параллельного чтения. Читалка была на пять звездочек. Верните прежнюю версию или исправьте эту проблему с вертикальной прокруткой страниц!

バグだらけだ。
このソフトは本当に最悪だ。頻繁にクラッシュしたり画面がちらついたりする。フォントの読み込み時、書籍を閉じた後、図書をインポートする時、途中で終了してから再度起動したタイミングなど、様々な場面で不具合が発生する。もうこのソフトに対して忍耐の限界だ、クソソフトだ。👎

The level of control, of customizability...
I want to control everything about my reading experience, down to whether or not the text is hyphenated when it is wrapped to the next line, the line spacing, and information at the bottom of my screen. And this somehow does all of this, and more, like importing font files and dictionary files! Finally, it does not randomly offload books to the cloud, which Apple Books does every single time.

My phone tablet laptop and pc all know exactly where to open the book, even for .epub files I uploaded myself!

不过阅读标尺在没有开滚动翻页的情况，翻到下一页经常留在底部，没有自动回到首行。特别是读外语书的时候。不确定是怎么触发这个 bug 的。 另外，竖排的时候，文字设置 ui 和实际点击位置是完全相反的：比如要调大字号，实际要点调小。不知道为什么后来重装又没有这个问题了。

TTS has natural voice, hard working developer that keeps up with latest trends! It has been more than a year since Kokoro was released. Yet other ereaders still use the old robotic tts, instead of better opensource free tts models.
Very good - where’s share
Overall quite good, but I would like to see the ios Share function added to the list of allowable Actions. This would all ow selected text to be shared to my notes app. The ability to similarly share notes made within the app would assist as well.
ipad: new update old bugs
To work with Readest on an ipad is a daily pain. Now new update: the notes before were nicely recalled on last position, now you have again to scroll down systematically. Great work! Positioning the cursor to select with keyboard a block of text: impossible. With the mouse when you have to change page, no way. The menu above does not appear anymore. Try to close the book or program by clicking on the cross: you have to be faster than Lucky Luke! Well, a big mess. And still no division of the document possible, to see the text and its references at the same time for instance (two windows placed next: bugs with the scrolling).

Thank you for the detailed feedback. We will fix the text selection with keyboard in the next few updates. And there is a parallel read mode in the book view menu in the left sidebar with which you can display the same book or different books side by side.
