Great app

Would love percentage based tracking in addition to the page number tracking. A lot of ebooks don’t have page numbers

Response from developer

You might want to try setting your percentage-only ebook to 100 pages total

Okay

This app is useful if you want to track your reading time, but there are some downsides:

-You can’t pause while you’re reading. There is no option to pause the timer if , say, someone asks you a question. It has proved moderatly annoying many times. (Btw, if the developers are reading this, can you please fix some of these downsides? Thanks)

- It is an annoying process to add a book. First you have to look up the book on google books through the app. Okay, that’s fine. Then it asks you to add stuff like the page count, and how many pages are actually for reading (excluding stuff like the acknowledgements and authors notes). The issue with that is if you read on an ebook app like me, when you switch to that app to find the info, when you come back, everything that was already entered has disappeared, including the title and author. This issue is SO ANNOYING!!!

The only reason that I keep using this app is because its the only one I could find without in app payments. If the developers could add a pause function and make it easier to add ebook info, then my rating would definitely go up.

Response from developer

Hi, v1.5 is out and that issue you found annoying should be gone. As for the pause function, that won't be happening. Reading Time is designed so that it tells you when you'll be done with a particular book at your pace of reading *and* with the level of interruptions you're facing. If you get interrupted so much and so often, just keep the reading clock running and your predictions will be even more accurate.

Good for physical books

Awesome app and way to track what you’re reading. My only issue so far is that I wish I could track percentages instead of pages, since the ebooks I read have differences in page length depending on which device I’m reading with (phone app vs iPad vs Kindle/Kobo). It’s still worth giving it a shot though since the app looks and functions well!

Helpful and Informative

I often get distracted when I’m reading, but this helps me to stay focused because I know the timer is going.

The stats it tracks are also pretty interesting.

Thank you so much for your review!

Fantastic book tracker!

I’ve just started trying to read more often again after a long break, and this app is amazing. I don’t have a set number of books I’m aiming for, but seeing progress and features like telling me how much longer I have left are very motivating!

Being able to add 12 books for free is a fair way to implement a trial period before needing to buy the complete app unlock, which is a once off purchase.

Well designed and implemented, if you’re looking for a brilliant app to help you start or restart reading and tracking your progress will help, then this is absolutely worth it!

App Store reviews probably don’t get better than this. Thank you very very much. 🙏
