Original review (longer excerpt):
The app keeps advertising “natural AI voices” yet outputs basic robotic system voices (not even Apple’s best quality ones). If you’re going to emphasize “natural” and “AI,” the voice quality should match the claim — especially when better voices exist on Apple devices. The user interface is genuinely nice, which makes this even more frustrating. I really want to like it, but the voice experience is still disappointing.

Developer’s response:

“We’d like to clarify one important point: our app does not advertise or claim to offer ‘natural AI voices.’ This terminology is not used in our App Store description, screenshots, or promotional materials.

The voices used in the app are based on system-supported text-to-speech options, and we do not position them as advanced or human-like AI voices. It appears there may be some confusion or comparison with another app…”

My detailed reply:

Thank you for your response. However, you state that the app doesn’t advertise “AI” or “natural voices,” yet these terms appear three times inside the app itself:

• “Your Personal AI Speech Assistant” (home screen)

• “Listen with AI Voice” (playback screen)

• “AI meets voice technology” (voice preview).

I have screenshots proving this. It’s dishonest to deny what’s clearly written inside your own app. If the app uses Apple’s system TTS voices, it would be more transparent to remove these mentions, as they set specific expectations for voice quality.

Concrete suggestion:

Add a menu to list and use Apple’s enhanced/premium voices (downloadable in Settings > Accessibility > Voices). They’re far more natural and work with your current TTS API.

Tech note for developer:

Takes max 30 minutes — enhanced voices auto-appear in `AVSpeechSynthesisVoice.speechVoices()` once users download them. Zero cost.

The UI is genuinely nice and the concept great! I’ll happily upgrade to 4-5 stars if you acknowledge this, fix the text, AND add the enhanced voices. Don’t want to seem harsh — just want honesty + real improvement!

Belle interface, voix mensongère

J’ai téléchargé cette application en avril 2025 et j’ai décidé de la réessayer presque un an plus tard pour voir si les choses s’étaient améliorées, mais honnêtement je ne vois aucun réel progrès.

L’application ne cesse de parler d’une « voix IA naturelle », mais ce que j’entends ressemble aux voix robotiques standard d’Apple, et même pas aux meilleures. Si vous annoncez deux fois « naturel » et « intelligence artificielle », la qualité de la voix devrait vraiment être à la hauteur de cette promesse. Apple propose pourtant des voix plus agréables, donc je ne comprends pas pourquoi on ne peut pas en bénéficier ici.

L’interface utilisateur est agréable et l’application a du potentiel, mais la voix est une partie essentielle de l’expérience et, pour l’instant, c’est décevant.

Nous apprécions également votre remarque positive sur l’interface et le potentiel de l’app. Cependant, nous souhaitons apporter une clarification importante : nous ne communiquons nulle part que notre application propose une “voix IA naturelle”. Cette mention n’apparaît ni dans la description de l’App Store, ni dans nos captures d’écran, ni dans nos supports marketing. Il semble donc y avoir une confusion ou une comparaison avec une autre application proposant ce type de promesse. Notre application s’appuie sur les technologies vocales officiellement disponibles sur iOS, en toute transparence, sans revendiquer une voix humaine ou naturelle avancée. Comparer notre solution à d’autres apps qui utilisent des moteurs ou des voix différents peut donc être trompeur, à la fois pour l’application et pour les autres utilisateurs. Misleading “Natural AI” Voice — Great UI

I purchased this app with my current account in September, but I’ve been following it since at least March 2025, and I honestly haven’t seen any meaningful improvement since then.

The app keeps advertising a “natural AI voice,” yet the output still sounds like basic Apple robotic voices (and not even the best-quality ones Apple offers). If you’re going to emphasize “natural” and “AI,” the voice quality should match the claim, especially when better voices exist on Apple devices.

The user interface is genuinely nice, which makes this even more frustrating. I really want to like it, but the voice experience is still disappointing.

Can’t get the pdf to voice to work

It’s not clear on how you upload a pdf file to be converted to voice which is why I downloaded this app in the first place.

No Voice, No Clarity, No Value

I was ready to pay $50 for the Pro version, but there was no voice output when I tested it — extremely disappointing.

Also, it’s unclear how many languages the app actually supports. Can I even customize languages other than English with the Pro version?

Poor user experience and lack of transparency.

Not worth the price.
