What's New in Readtivity
1.2
September 11, 2026
NEW • Set up a new device and restore your whole library from iCloud. • New Home Screen widgets: Currently Reading, Reading Hub, Reading Activity Rings, Quick Actions and a Reading Timer. • Start a reading session, log pages, or pause and end a session straight from a widget or the Lock Screen — no need to open the app. • Choose which actions appear in the Quick Actions widget. • Ask Siri to log pages, start a reading session, open a shelf or find a book. • Build your own automations in Shortcuts, including scanning a book by its barcode. • A new What's New screen in Settings so you can catch up on every update. IMPROVED • "Favourites" is now "Loved", and "Up Next" is now "To Be Read". • Faster search with your recent searches ready to go, plus a Google Books fallback that finds the obscure titles. • Search keeps working when Open Library is unavailable, instead of leaving you waiting. • A search result that's already in your library now offers View in Library or Remove from Library. • Alerts are now Liquid Glass cards that can take you straight to the book or undo what you just did. • Swipe any past reading session to edit or delete it, and Edit is now front and centre in session detail. • Delete confirmations spell out exactly what's being removed. • Extended VoiceOver and Dynamic Type support. • Better layouts on iPad and across every screen size. FIXED • Setup saved the wrong daily pace — choosing Casual showed 15 pages a day but stored 5. • The iCloud restore step was skipped if you backed out of adding books or importing from Goodreads. • "Step x of y" during setup counted screens that had no progress dot. • Placeholder and broken covers no longer show up as book covers in search results.
