I was there when this app was free and gave all types of information at no cost. Unfortunately, I didn’t need this app as much as I do now.. but it’s so hard to use because of the pay wall. It’s nothing to even pay for, in my opinion… I understand that I’m paying to unlock the apps full features, but compared to what the app was and what it is now… I would rather just do the research instead of having to pay a subscription cost. I love what this app is and its purpose…. I love the app’s design and teachings… It’s getting a three stars from me only because I was there before the paywall and this app was so much more useful; I kept it when I didn’t have rent or a credit score to worry about. I think the different lessons should be free to read like they were, we should have to pay for being able to take the quizzes and things of that nature… but now you have to pay to read the snapshots, you only get one free thing to read. Now I just wanna delete the app again.

Server is not found.

I actually love this app, I pay for the yearly subscription and use it multiple times every week. I’m just leaving a one star at this time so hopefully the app developers will read this. The app isn't working today, whenever I try to open it and error pops up that says: “error: a server with the specified hostname could not be found.” I tried to let you guys know through your website but that isn’t working either. It says that the server can’t be found. I’m assuming that the server is just down, I wanted to let you know to make sure you are aware of the issue. One it’s up and running again I’ll change my review to a 5 star:) I love love love this app!

Was really useful before...

One of the main selling points to this app when I first got it that I loved was the fact it marketed itself as a free resource because 'learning how to navigate adulthood should be a resource available to everyone'.
Now they've abandoned that ethos in favor of making money. Feels a bit like they sold out and I can no longer use the application or recommend it to others without addressing that paywall. I guarantee young users would mind ads less than a paywall to content, or perhaps a limit on how many lessons you can do per day.

Their reasoning just sounds shallow and fake. "We feel a subscription-based model aligns with our mission better even though our mission was originally to make knowledge about adulthood accessible to everyone". Not a great look👎🏼

Helped me with day to day life

I’ll be honest. I downloaded this thinking it was gonna be a silly little app that I forgot about and never used. However… it’s pretty cool😂 In my opinion it’s made me more productive thru out my day and helped me learn basic adult skills I wish I was taught in high school!! Download the app and try it out for the free couple days, it won’t hurt

Very useful post grad!

Realworld is helpful in all aspects of life after college graduation and could be beneficial to anyone! Going through all the levels, I thought about how I can continue to be invested in my community and myself although that had not been my mindset for the past few months. I think this app helps inspire and motivate!

My new daily routine!

I wish I had found this sooner! There are so many topics in here that I’ve been wanting to learn about, but school doesn’t teach any of this and googling this stuff can be confusing and demotivating… However with Realworld I can feel like I’m becoming more of a responsible adult bit by bit day by day at my own pace and with easy to digest explanations and walkthroughs! Can’t wait to see what new topics get added!

Make Real World free again.

I was using this app for several months after I first heard about it on my instagram and only when I last updated it - (it needs to be updated constantly or else it won’t run) it told me that my free trial has ended and I need to “upgrade for access” it won’t even let me browse through the playbooks, for an app that’s about helping others navigate life you’re not exactly making it easier by forcing us to pay for the guidance when some of us might not even have a job… I understand you have to make money somehow, but a few ads embedded into the app to offset the production cost and let unsubscribed members access the content, would be better than putting absolutely everything behind a paywall. Sheesh…

Perfect for Navigating Young Adult Life

I absolutely love Realworld and all of its resources. The journey helps take you step by step through common topics that young adults DEFINITELY need to know as they’re getting started on their own. I just graduated from university and this app has been a huge help to me especially as I navigate my financials. I also love the playbooks for quick, reliable resources. I’m a terrible cook by nature and Realworld has hooked me up with many solutions to help me improve or find other solutions!! My favorite thing about the app is how reasonable and accessible it is. 10/10 would recommend ☀️🌈❤️

Perfect Tool for Post-Grad Life

Realworld has provided so many of the necessary tools to help me assimilate into post-grad life. I just recently graduated from undergrad, and I have been frantically trying to figure out this new world of adulthood. I found it quite difficult to locate and get all the tools and resources to help me with this — I had no idea how to rent an apartment in NYC, what a broker fee was, how I should budget my income properly, etc. But lucky enough, I stumbled across Realworld on the App Store. Realworld combines both educational resources and practical steps to organize all things considered “adulthood”, making it SO easy to check off what I need to do and what I have already done. I’ve already told all my friends about this app because I know they are probably just as lost as I was a few months ago. Thanks REALWORLD!!! 👏🌍

Get stuff done

There are a lot of things that come with being an adult that I have to do, but it is tough to sit down and actually do it. Realworld breaks it down and gets me to actually take action. Little by little I’m getting my life in order - instead of ignoring things until they become a big problem!

Must have App to navigate life after college

Incredible app! If you are feeling overwhelmed in the real world and wondering why school never taught you things like budgeting, investing, health insurance, work benefits, establishing credit, etc. then this is definitely the app for you. There are so many topics to choose and learn from that have helped me countless times make decisions. For example, with my new apartment I needed renters insurance and I was given no other explanation other than get it. Not knowing where to start, I turned to RealWorld which helped me not only understand what it is and why I needed it, but pointed me in the right direction on where to review my options and to purchase it. I have also used RealWorld to make decisions about which credit card to apply for and how to begin investing and which brokerage platforms to use. If you are struggling to understand Real Life problems and feel embarrassed to ask a stupid question about these things, I highly recommend this app to help guide you.

Better Adulting

This is the course we all say we wish we had in high school, “How to survive the Real World.” This app helps with everything from financial planning to health insurance! I’ve always struggled with cooking and one of the me recommendations has already helped for think about that task differently. It’s so nice to have an answer to “what do I do when I’m in a car accident” that isn’t just searching on Google!

Extremely Helpful

Last year, I used this app to help me move, acquire health insurance, and file my taxes. The lessons are very well written, informative, and effective. Additionally, I found the app layout to be very intuitive and easy to navigate, allowing me to revisit and review past lessons easily. I only wish I had found this app sooner.

Free trial not completely free

I downloaded the app to see what it was about. I was barely on and got pop ip saying but was a free trial. It seems also that you can’t skip around to what you’d like to look for - it makes you click through & “learn” the lesson before opening the next section.

Hopefully the developers look at suggestions and make improvements as I can see this as a good tool for a lot of people.

I wanted to scour the internet and compile my own read ups whenever I get a big girl job and bills but then it’ll be too late! I’m so glad I found this app because from neat categories to customized todo lists in the home page, this is what a student designer in a messy world loves. This app not only gives you weeks of free trial but it makes you feel safe and competent to understand not only how to adult, but also how to effectively learn topics above and beyond this resource.
