What's New in RECALLd

1.3.0

January 8, 2025

Introducing a News tab with recall-related articles from major news outlets, smoother animations, and stability improvements.

User reviews

Full of disinformation

Update: Developer told me to check another section. Still not pulling all recalls just like I said. The few it does bring in is a fraction of what is on the FDA and USDA lists and it evidently updates weekly so screw you the 6 days you're in the dark if something is contaminated or you have allergens. Once again, this app is about worthless. It could be better with updates. Oh and dev also said I should just know Newsweek isn't a good source and know better than to trust any app and use my own judgement so they clearly don't care at all.

This app isn't pulling in any info about actual recalls but it sure does promote Newsweek articles which are mostly disinformation. Just avoid this app it's useless at best and harmful and fear mongering at worst.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. This app sources all recall information directly from U.S. government agencies, including the FDA and USDA. To access recall data, please check the RECALLd Alerts section on the Home tab (Recalls.gov data), the Recent Recalls section on the Home tab (FDA recall updates), or the Recalls tab, which offers a searchable, sortable, and filterable list of FDA recalls. The news articles are provided by a third-party vendor and are marked with their source. As with any content, it is encouraged that users review them critically and at their discretion.
