About

The old camera look is in the viewfinder, not in a filter you add later. Most retro camera apps shoot with a modern phone camera and age the photo afterwards. re:cam works the other way round. The degraded picture is the one you frame, focus, and press the shutter on. What you see is what gets saved. ■ A camera, not a filter The whole screen is a 2010 phone camera. Glossy black chrome, a 4:3 preview letterboxed between the bars, a silver shutter, a Flash pill, a white tap-to-focus square, and an iris that closes when you shoot. Nothing modern is drawn anywhere on it. ■ Its limits are the point 5 megapixels, 2592 x 1936, 4:3. No HDR. No portrait mode. No night mode. No multi-frame merging. The camera that took the photos you remember could not do any of that, so this one does not either. ■ Your shots, in their own album Every photo is saved to your library in a re:cam album. Camera Roll is built in: browse the grid, open a shot, share it, delete it. The system Photos app has them all too. ■ One camera now, more later Model A1332 (2010) is the camera in this version. The Cameras tab lists what is installed, and new cameras arrive in free updates. ■ Pay once No ads. No watermark on your photos. No subscription. No in-app purchases of any kind. You pay on the download button, and that is the end of it. Stop polishing the life out of it.
