doesn’t work

Tried scanning receipts and even uploading photo does not work at all

Response from developer

Hi, Xinzhou here, the developer. I'm sorry, and you're right. Receipt scanning in ReceiptIQ Lite depended on Apple's on-device AI, which only works on some iPhones, and we shouldn't have offered it that way. In version 1.2.1, Lite is a simple manual expense tracker and no longer offers scanning. If you want receipts scanned, our main app ReceiptIQ AI reads every line item on any supported iPhone. If you bought Premium only for scanning, you can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Doesn’t work

Downloaded and paid for the premium version. OCR is poor and after saving the info, nothing showed up. Tried manual entry, doesn’t work either. Can’t even save

Response from developer

Hi, Xinzhou here. I'm sorry you paid and the app let you down. Scanning only worked on some iPhones, so in version 1.2.1 we removed it from Lite. For scanning, ReceiptIQ AI reads every line item on any supported iPhone. Saving an entry should never fail. If it still happens on the current version, please email support@receiptiq.me with your iPhone model and iOS version and I'll fix it. You can also request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Doesn't work

This app is not as described. Won't work on anything less than an iPhone 15.. made for a manual entry only. The scan OCR and line item extraction is in beta and simply does not work at all.
Seems like it would be great if it actually worked. I would not recommend. I'm trying to get a refund. Misrepresented.

Thank you for the honest review, and I'm sorry. You're right: scanning only worked on newer iPhones, and the listing didn't make that clear. As of version 1.2.1, Lite no longer offers scanning, and the App Store description now says plainly that it's for manual entry. For scanning on any supported iPhone, there's ReceiptIQ AI. For a refund, Apple handles it at reportaproblem.apple.com.
