Instagram publishes no follow dates, and it returns a following list in no fixed order — the same page comes back with different accounts minutes apart. SpyFollr watches those lists over time instead: it remembers every account it has seen and puts the ones it has not seen before at the top, dated the day we first saw them. Type in any public Instagram handle. SpyFollr reads the public following and follower lists, keeps a record of who has been on them, and tells you which accounts are new to that record — so what changed is stated, not guessed at. No Instagram login. No password. Nothing is sent to the account you look up. WHAT YOU GET - New follows first. Anything we have not seen on their list before goes to the top, dated the day we first saw it. - New followers too, read exactly the same way. - Since your last check: every account that appeared, counted and dated. - Active stories, played full screen. You were never signed in, so there is no view to record. - A watch list of up to 10 accounts, checked in the background every few hours. - Alerts when a watched account's list moves, without opening the app. ANONYMOUS BY DESIGN There is no Instagram sign-in anywhere in SpyFollr, yours or anyone else's. Lookups run on our servers, never from an account of yours. Nobody is notified, no view is recorded, and nothing changes on their side. WHAT IT CANNOT TELL YOU We would rather say this before you pay than after. - When a follow actually happened. Instagram publishes no follow dates, so every date here is the day we first saw that account on the list, and we say so. Anything showing you a follow time is guessing. - Who is new, on the first day and a half. We have to see a list several times before "new" means anything, and until then the app says it is still learning rather than pretending nothing changed. - Who is new on a very large list. Instagram returns only a slice of a list with thousands of entries, and a different slice each time, so for those accounts we show the counts and do not claim to name arrivals. - Anything inside a private account. There is no login here, so there is no way in, and we will never ask anyone for an Instagram password. - Who viewed your profile or your story. Instagram has never exposed that to any third party, and a product selling it is selling something else. - Who unfollowed. A list comes back as a sample, so an account missing from it has not necessarily left. We show what appeared and never guess at what went. WHO USES IT - Creators and marketers, watching what competitors and collaborators are doing - Journalists and researchers, reviewing public accounts without announcing it - Agencies, checking whether a partner account is still active - Anyone who would rather look without leaving a trace HOW IT WORKS SpyFollr reads data that Instagram publishes publicly, through a licensed data provider.
