What's New in Recess

1.2.0

October 13, 2026

• Two new games: Go and Mandarin Squares (Ô ăn quan), with a friend or the robot. • Waiting alone at your table? Tap Join a friend to go to theirs, and tap the code to copy it. • Mark your favourite games and put them in your own order on Home. • Each game remembers its options, and one tap resets them all. • The last move is easier to see, in the colour of the player who made it. • The robot plays at a pace you can follow. • Chess and Chinese chess start with no clock. Turn it on in the options. • Two phones reconnect faster after one sleeps, and a game keeps going if a phone locks mid-move. • Soft new sounds, and 15 colours to pick yours from. • Recess has its own address: joinrecess.app. Old links still work.
