Simply Perfect

I was looking for a way to save my favorite recipes without all the bulk included with other apps. As another reviewer mentioned, it would be nice to view landscape, but that’s not a dealbreaker for me. I would be great to share the recipes with other people. For instance, my partner does all the grocery shopping, so being able to share the recipe (and its ingredients) with him would be fantastic. We are currently using the built in Apple lists app.

Hi Ratgurrl Thank you for your review! We are releasing an update soon with a lot of new features, including making it easier to share your recipes, which we are very excited about. We love your idea of making it possible to share the ingredients in a sort of shopping list! We’ll look into that and hope to get it out with the next update. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback, it means a lot to us.

I just accidentally rated ur app a 1. I’m sorry. I was trying to ask about ur free service to migrate me old RecipeBook app to ur app. Thank u

Nice Simple Recipe App

I was searching through the AppStore for something just like this. I was irritated with the add supported recipe apps and just wanted a simple way to record recipes in an easily readable way.

I cook from recipe websites often and having to scroll all over the page to get bits and pieces of the recipe is a pain.

I’m using this app to record recipes I liked, and view them in an easy way for when I’m cooking. It is also nice there is a place to record the link to their websites.

The ingredient section is organized into different sections for your recipe, like “cake batter” and “Icing” for example.

The cooking instruction section is just a big text block, so it is easy to cut and paste recipes and reword to make it easier to understand.

I’m sorry there is that negative review for another app. It’s not fair to the app developer who released this for free with no ads. I appreciate your app, thanks!

Hi Jake Thank you for your review! We appreciated your very kind words. We are working hard on improving the app at the moment, but it will always remain add free! Kind regards Recipe Book Team (PS: Your review hasn’t reached us until now)

More categories

It would be nice to have categories that either you can add or more specific like soups, poultry, beef, etc.

Response from developer

Hi Dreadymom We are working on improving the app at the moment. A new category feature has been developed that allows you to add your own customised categories. We haven’t a release date yet, but it will be soon! Kind Regards Recipe Book Team (PS: Your feedback has not reached us until just now)

Update app please!

I have an older iPad that just updated to iOS 14.6 and now I cannot access this app. I have added a ton of recipes here and need to access them. When I try to open the app it says the developers need to update it to use with this version. I see others are having this issue as well. Please update it.

YOU HAVE THE WRONG APP You are not the first person to get our app confused with the other Recipe Book App. I tried to find the App you are having issues with on App Store but like you there was no luck :( However I searched google for something that would guide me to get answers as to why and I found this link to the RecipeBook App. It turns out that they have discontinued the RecipeBook app that you use as of the 31st Jan 2021. Luckily for you they recommend another app that have a process to transfer your RecipeBook recipes to the Paprika App. However this is an App you pay for! Please follow the link below which should guide you through transferring your Recipes. I have had a look and it seems a little complicated :( but it is possible http://www.myrecipebookapp.com/ I wish you luck with transferring your recipes. If you are unsuccessful then we could provide a service to add your Recipes into our app which is free of charge. Please will you delete your review. I have added the link directly to our Recipe Book App which we are constantly improving. https://apps.apple.com/dk/app/recipe-book/id1239451209 Kind regards

Please update

I recently had an update on my IPad and now am told you need to do an update to work with this version . Please , please take care of it. I have had your app for a few years and spent a long time adding family recipes, which I can no longer get to. From your reviews many others are having a hard time.
Please!

Recipe book

I have an older version of the App, Recipe Book.
My IPad did an update and now I can’t open my file.
I have over a thousand recipes on there.
Any ideas on how to get to them?

Here are the answers to your questions:

I only use the app on my iPad. And on the phone. But since they don’t sync, all of my recipes are on the iPad
When I try to open it, it just says it can’t work with the newer software update. So, I can’t even open it.
I have 14.5.1 updated that is loaded
Where can I find out what version of recipe book I have?

Hi Satkdog, Sorry about the delay in answering you! We have now tested the same setup as you but with the newest version 1.8.3 and do not have any issues. I can see that you have updated your version to 1.8.3 too. Did this help? If not could you send us an email to hollydesign@mail.dk so that we can communicate quicker to one another? Kind Regards Recipe Book Team Hi satkdog, We are so happy that you are using Recipe Book to store your recipes. But sad to hear that you no longer can access them! We will of course do all that we can to get you up and running again. But before we can do that we need know a little bit more about your situation. Which version of the app do you have? Are you only using the app on your iPad? Which version of iOS are you now upgraded to on your iPad? When you click on the Recipe Book icon does the app open? It would help if you could add any other information that could help us to try and replicate your situation. Kind Regards Recipe Book Team You wrote: I have an older version of the App, Recipe Book. Hi NatD_15 We are happy to announce that the bug in our app has been found and eliminated! We hope you will let us prove to you that Recipe Book IS a great app to save your recipes in! And please know, we are so very grateful you took the time to let us know that the app wasn’t performing as intended. Kind Regards The Recipe Book Team

Lots of issues

App crashes a lot. You spend the time putting in all the recipe into just for it to not save. Doesn’t recognize URLS that it has recognized before for other recipes that we’re input.

Not for non techie

I didn’t like this because it could only be seen in the portrait mode. I need the landscape mode because I lay the iPad that way in the kitchen. Inconvenient.

Not interesting for iPad Pro 12,9

Only works in portrait mode.

Good app , very handy to have all the recipes in one place however...

...it keeps switching off every 10 seconds and it took me 4 times trying to save the recipe there. It just disappeared and gone back to home screen instead. Please fix it.

Not good

App keeps closing itself out when I try to use it.

Great

I like it! Nice and easy place to store recipes. Does the job!
Just add a bit of colour to it if possible. The grey is all a bit drab

Ab

Keeps crashing and closing the app, especially if you try to edit any of your recipes
