So close

This app has some relay good features to it but it needs to let me remove ingredients if the they are gone or go bad.
Too many ingredients get removed before they are gone. Let me set a date to expire or give me another option than “confirm” when the app is asking to expire.

War früher besser

Man konnte früher Kategorien erstellen.

Best so far

So I looked everywhere for an app just like this… I had given up that it even existed until I found OH, a potato app. So far is quite intuitive to use. Just a few suggestions that would make it perfect for me, is that I would just like that instead the recipe finder I would have the option to only look at my uploaded recipes, and also on my recipe folder that the recipes would arrange themself from most ingredients in fridge to less. Overhaul it’s the closest to what I had in mind. Pretty happy with it.

Latest update sucks

The latest update has ruined a perfectly good recipe app.
Now all my measurements for saved recipes have been changed to ridiculous (and wrong) measures.
I used to love this app as it made cooking easier but that’s no longer the case

To much work

Nice

Illustrations are off the chain.

Love this app

It’s brilliant. I love how easy it is to save recipes from Instagram

Recipes by ingredients

Helpful app for finding recipes by ingredients. Thanks for improving the icon aesthetics, too! Please make it available in landscape mode for ease of use on iPad Pro with attached keyboard.

Response from developer

Hi! Thank you for your feedback. We’re happy that you find the recipe suggestions useful. As for the app icon, we just released a new version with a different icon, we hope you like that better. Just ensure you have the latest version from the App Store. Please note that you can move your app icon wherever you want on your Home Screen.

OH, a potato! review

Current review: OK, I am deleting this app! Apple put this ugliest-app-icon-ever right at the top of my Home Screen and I cannot get rid of it! Sorry but I can't use your app! Previous review: Nice app for finding recipes by ingredients. Two things: 1) I'd like it in landscape mode for use on iPad Pro; 2) that has to be the ugliest app icon I've ever seen. Ugh!

Meal planning is easy now

This app helped me and my partner meal plan consistently. We tried other apps but none were able to make the process of figuring out what to cook (so we both like it) like the potato app.

ABSOLUTE GENIUS!!!!

This is THE app I’ve been waiting for since the dawn of the internet! So easy to use and no more combing through 50 sites to find that recipe I made a few months ago that I forgot to save. AND I can share it with my kids. Love the creators for figuring this out! Thank you so much!!

Excellent recipe and meal planning

What an amazing app that brought to life some wonderful concepts that enhances everyday meal planning.

Who hasn’t seen a great recipe and thought I like to do that only to forget it, well with this app you can make that a thing of the past.

The ability to add recipes or import directly from a website by simply copying and pasting URL makes these so much more useful.

It goes beyond that allowing you to create a household, share and collaborate directly in the app. This is fully synchronized and thus making it harmonious for all members.

Better than many

This app could be reasonably decent, but it needs help. First off– the logo is dreadful.

Second, please make a real iPad app. I have no intention of using my phone when I’m sitting down at home planning meals based on what I already have.

Third– provide an easy-access print-ready display option. I store my recipes on Zotero and don’t want to have to do fiddly photo stitching to get an image I can attach to my files.

Fourth— the second recipe I found was missing crucial information. The first step was to prepare the caramelized nuts, and from the way it was set up, I was to add every ingredient to the nuts, including lettuce, cheese, oil, water, etc. Luckily, I found out I could click on the author's name and go to her site to find out what she really meant.

Fifth— this is a pie-in-the-sky wish. People don't seem to understand how to compose recipes, and I'd love to see this app or any other provide tutorials. Recipes have traditionally been written with a standard and succinct vocabulary, but, oh my! The things I see online! In the aforementioned recipe, I was instructed to “make the nuts” rather than “prepare” the nuts. I suppose it sounds unimportant to anyone who has found most of their recipes online, but it irritates me. There are so many annoying extras- who needs to be told the first part is the “ingredients “ and the second is “how to make,” “instructions for cooking,” and the many dozens of other ways to clutter things up. The individual steps have just as much excess verbiage. I’ve been cooking since I was about 9 or 10 years old and am old enough to remember Nixon’s resignation and his election. I don't need or want excess stuff in my recipes, so I too often need to rewrite them to make sense. Maybe authors should provide the recipes the way they like them and the traditional, streamlined versions.

How to export from notes?

I keep recipe scans in apple notes app, I don’t see a way to transfer the to this app

Response from developer

Hello, We just added this functionality. Make sure you have the latest version (3.4.0), try it, and let us know how it works!

Import Recipes

The ability to import recipes makes it really easy.

I’m inputting my recipes quickly.

It detects the end of a recipe if there is one above it.

The only downside is you have to cover the top one for it to detect that recipe. Really no big deal though.

Response from developer

Hello, the latest update (3.3.1) fixed this issue. Please let us know if it now works for you.

Better and better

I started using this app about two weeks ago and I’ve now found it my go to app for picking up recipes online and it always performs without a hitch. Takes about a 10th of the time it takes to manually copy a recipe. Incredibly useful app.

Responsive developers app has a ton of potential.

Some areas of feedback - first it’s a super cool app with tons of potential. I think with some love effort and time this application will grow into one of the best apps of its type.

Things to consider adding:
Major
- The shopping list area view all should be sorted by labels and items under to split up the unorganized list in all view.
- receipes should be searchable within app would be a nice perk
- the scanner is only taking the fridge into consideration, not the pantry or spices available; this area could be expanded to include; fridge, pantry, spices.

Minor
- Dark mode
- Minor UI polish
