Record voice notes, interviews, lectures and meetings with Recly. Record, save and play audio on your iPhone or Apple Watch without signing in to anything.
RECORD ON IPHONE OR APPLE WATCH
Tap your Apple Watch to record without taking out your phone. The watch records on its own and sends each part to your iPhone, which shows that the watch is recording. On iPhone, start from the app, a widget or a Shortcuts action. You can also import audio and video files, or share them to Recly from other apps.
TRANSCRIBE YOUR WAY
Transcribe on your iPhone on supported models, with speakers separated on the device, or use a supported speech-to-text provider with your own API key. Recly asks for your permission before sending recordings to a provider, and you can withdraw it in Settings. Add names and terms to a vocabulary, fix a word, name the speakers, transcribe again, search every recording, and export text, Markdown, subtitles or audio.
NOTES WITH YOUR CHATGPT ACCOUNT
Sign in with your own ChatGPT account in Settings → ChatGPT, and each recording gets notes: an overview, key points, decisions, to-dos and open questions, each linked to the moment it was said. Notes fill in every five minutes while you record and are finished after you stop. Rename or remove the built-in sections, add your own, and edit any item. Ask a question about a recording, and get an empty title and the speakers' names filled in.
Notes use your ChatGPT plan. Before anything is sent, Recly asks for your permission and for you to confirm that "Improve the model for everyone" is turned off in ChatGPT. Only the transcript text is sent, with phone numbers and email addresses replaced first. The audio never is.
YOUR STORAGE
Keep recordings and transcripts in your own Google Drive, in iCloud, or in a folder you choose in Files, such as an Obsidian vault. Google access reaches only the files Recly creates. There is no Recly account and no Recly server.
Available in 23 languages. Transcription provider availability varies by region. Third-party accounts may be required, and provider charges may apply.
