About

Recon Scan is a focused planning toolkit for competetive miniature wargamers by a competetive wargamer. Build a tournament-grade table, lay down terrain, drop your models onto a scenario, and watch line-of-sight calculated live as you move pieces around the board. Whether you're prepping for your next miniature wargame, dialling in terrain placement before a tournament, or running through a scenario to find the strongest deployment, Recon Scan keeps the focus on the board — not the spreadsheet. LAYOUT EDITOR • 60 × 44 inch tournament-standard table • Per-footprint terrain features: ruin walls with corner segments, barricade strips with configurable section widths, and full-height structures, each with adjustable heights • Multiple deployment zone presets covering the standard competitive modes • Snap-to-grid drag with precise rotation control SCENARIO BUILDER • Place model bases on any saved layout — circles, ovals, and hulls from 25 mm up to 160 mm, covering infantry, monsters, and vehicles • Drag, rotate, and snap models with one-finger gestures • Live line-of-sight visualisation: select any model and instantly see what it can see, with obscuring rules built in • Charge-range and deepstrike denial halos for quick distance checks UNIT BASE LOOKUP • Import an army list and Recon Scan auto-resolves each unit to its correct base size • Supports ListForge JSON, simple text, and WTC-style exports PRIVACY & DATA • Fully offline — no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no tracking • Every layout and scenario is stored only on your device • Export and import as JSON via the standard share sheet — your data, your choice where it goes
