I love getting my local paper delivered, very early, to my pad. It is easy to use and It provides an in-depth accounting the newsworthy events, not just a quick snapshot. And it’s shareable with friends, even the funnies.
ACCESS
When I use my MacBook Pro laptop, access to content is relatively simple. However, when using my iPhone and forget my password I am unable to gain access. Since I do not have to use a password with the MacBook upon gaining access, why is a password required with my IPhone. Yes, different criteria is “annoying.”

Easy to use
Enjoy reading the news from my phone. Appreciate the ability of sending articles to someone and often to myself for further review. Has made it easy to keep up with the local news.

Online is great
It was hard for me to switch away from a paper copy but I love reading other RS online. Once in a while the comics are fuzzy tho , even we.hen the rest of the paper is fine. Other than that, it perfect. I’m a big fan of Benda …I look forward to his column ,

Real enjoy reading online
I thought I would have to give up the joy of spreading a newspaper in front of me on the table to instead read online. I love that it shows full pages and you can just tap to read not only your article on that page but immediately goes to where the article continues on another page. Articles you highlight to read are in a easy to read format with larger print. Reading black print against a white background is better than the papers. The website is easy to use and my husband is very happy we can print the crossword puzzle.

App works pretty well
I would rather get the paper in print form but a lack of consistent delivery drove me to on line only. It’s working but I miss my old paper reading it not on my phone or computer.
Record Searchlight App Review
Being able to read the paper online in the same format as the actual hard copy is convenient- we enjoy it especially when we are away from home and can’t get the paper copy.
Really like to read online
Because we weren’t having delivery service when I moved to Shastina Ranch it is nice to have it online but the problem is it has a tendency to freeze when I read on my IPad. I wish that could be fixed.

Reacquainting with long ago hometown paper
Yes my first 19 formative years were that of Redding and I delivered R.S. Paper daily for about 3 of those, you see. Anyhoo I enjoy getting the 'flavor' of my hometown now 53 years hence through the R.S. The front page, local sports, opinion page & funnies are my staple. The price is right and I just likes it.

Frustrating
It’s bad enough the news in the “paper” is 2-3 days old, but the app freezes a lot. Do not have any other app do that. I end up deleting the app and reinstalling. Going to give it another month and then canceling the whole thing. Get it together #Gannett publishing.
Frozen
This app for Record Searchlight works well about half the time. So often the pages freeze and the only way out is to delete the app and then reinstall it. This is very frustrating. Almost makes me want to just cancel my subscription.
