Great potential — hoping for better Japanese support on Apple Watch! /Apple Watchでの日本語対応に期待！
However, my biggest issue right now is Japanese transcription when recording from the Apple Watch. Japanese transcription works perfectly when I record on my iPhone, but recordings made from the Apple Watch are recognized as English. Even though Japanese is selected on the iPhone, the setting doesn’t seem to carry over properly to recordings made on the Watch.
Apple Watch support was one of the main reasons I chose this app, so if this issue is fixed, I think Recordus could become an excellent app.
At the moment, I would probably rate it 3 stars based on the current experience, but I’m giving it 4 stars because I really like the concept and have high hopes for future updates.
I would really appreciate proper Japanese transcription for recordings made from the Apple Watch!
コンセプトがとても良く、特にApple Watchからすぐに録音できるところに魅力を感じて購入しました。日常の会話や、ふと思いついたアイデアを手軽に残せるので、今後かなり活用できそうです。
ただ、現状一番困っているのがApple Watchでの日本語対応です。iPhoneでは日本語で問題なく文字起こしできますが、Apple Watchから録音すると英語として認識されてしまいます。iPhone側で日本語を設定していても、Watchからの録音にはうまく反映されないようです。
Apple Watchから使えることがこのアプリを選んだ大きな理由だったので、ここが改善されれば本当に素晴らしいアプリになると思います。
現状では★3くらいですが、コンセプトがとても好きなので、今後のアップデートへの期待を込めて★4です！
ぜひApple Watchからの録音でも日本語を正しく認識できるようにしていただきたいです。

Thank you for writing this. You found real bugs, and I'm sorry you paid for the app and got that experience. I went through the code after reading your review, and you were right on every count. Transcription could stall. If you locked your phone after recording, the job froze until you next opened the app, and one stuck job blocked every recording behind it. That is why the second one took even longer than the first. The summaries were genuinely broken. On longer recordings, only the opening few minutes were ever read. And where the app could not use Apple Intelligence, it fell back to picking out the longest sentences rather than writing a summary, which is exactly the "random parts of the transcription" you described. The slow launch was the app rebuilding its entire search index and loading every transcript into memory every time it opened. The summary and launch fixes are written and tested. The transcription queue fix is in progress. They will ship together in the next update, and the summary will then say plainly whether it came from Apple Intelligence or from basic text analysis, instead of implying something it wasn't. On your support request: I cannot find it anywhere, and I believe my own email forwarding was at fault rather than you being ignored. That one is on me and I am fixing it. Either way, thank you for the detail you put into this. It was genuinely useful.
