A Worthy Green App!
There was a time I thought I knew everything about recycling until I downloaded the “Recycle Coach” app. This app provides insights on how to prepare recyclables and garbage for Rahway DPW to pick up and dispose. There’s even a calendar (which I love) to keep me organized, while posting pick up dates for lawn refuse, bulky items, etc.
Every feature offers purpose to maintain our city of Rahway. The green quizzes are even fun! The questions are light (nothing like Jeopardy) and kid friendly for your family to collectively learn more about why we should prioritize our environment.

Notifications
I enjoy having this app however I have set up the notifications many times and it never sends me them or sometimes it will do it for a couple weeks and then stop.

Green bin recycle section does not include branches and bags for same day collection

calendar good, not the rest
the only useful thing is the calendar that shows when recycle pickup is scheduled. the alerts for trash/recycle days do not include this so these have limited value, the too-frequent “tips” are only useful if i want that particular info, and more easily looked up than constantly dismissed.
Keep the reminders coming
The reminders are extremely helpful. I’m not just for us elders I believe busy families need the reminders too.

Notifications
No longer sending notifications. All notifications are set to on in the app itself and Not even an option on iPhone app notifications settings. This app is a waste without notifications.
Garbage and Stuff
This is a very good app to remind me when garbage and recycling will be picked up so I don’t forget. My garbage and recycling is picked up every other week; also food and yard waste is picked up on the weeks in between, so it’s easy to forget and I rely on this app. to keep my weeks straight. Thank you very much.

App is broken
I had to reinstall the app on my new iPhone and the latest version no longer works on my iPhone 17e. I cannot select my recycling region to start the app. The app used to work fine. There is a major issue with the latest update.
So handy
Great for remembering when it’s bulky waste day, or when holidays change pick up schedules. Also has handy tips on what is actually recyclable and how to dispose of different materials.

Appreciate the schedule reminders in a timely manner. The questionnaires are interesting and fun. Detailed information for sorting, very helpful.
Critical bug-can’t assign my new street
Can’t assign my new address again after moving years later. Bad UX in general.
