Holiday Help
I originally downloaded the app so I could figure out if I could place something in the recycling bin, trash bin, or drop off to the Resource Center. But with the summer holidays, I have found it to be a very helpful reminder when I need to put my bins to the curb! Thank you for creating/subscribing to this app, City of Newton!

Answers at the tip of the fingers
This app is a great tool to learn what can and what cannot be recycled in the City of Newton. It also helps to give us perspective on how few items can actually go in the green bin and how much we still have to do to cut trash down at significant levels.

Extremely helpful app
Never thought I’d use it as much as I do. It seems every week someone in my household has a “trash of recycling?” question and this handy little app always comes through with the answer.

This app has been extremely helpful with the variety of questions that not come up regarding what is recyclable and where. Surprisingly, I use this app every week or so. It gives me dates, locations for other kinds of recycling, schedule changes, and good general info.
Devoted Recycler
Although I always took a pic of the schedule for trash/recycling, I find the app very helpful, especially when it comes to recycling dates for household chemicals, paints, etc. I have recommended the app to several friends so they will know what can and cannot be recycled! Great Reminder!
The app sends helpful notifications the evening before collection day. Terrific to be reminded about the holiday delays, tree pick up dates, and when regular service resumes.

I'm really glad that Newton made this app available. It was more useful than I expected. I love how it reminds me the evening before pickup, removing the "Is this a trash holiday week?" questions. (As my neighbors who didn't know can attest, that is helpful.) I also like the way I can type in the name of something and find out if it's recyclable. (I got some nice surprises there.) If you live in Newton, MA, get it!
